Changes

For this update I mostly focused on the art style, which I am much happier with. The previous style served it's purpose as a great way to test the idea, but now it seems a bit flat and not very exciting. Since I quite like the idea, and want to progress it to a full release, I wanted to work a bit more on the art style.

  • The main character has changed from a man to a small man inside of a robot
  • The platforms are now light blocks
  • The background is a plain black
  • UI buttons such as the left, right, jump and pause have been designed
  • Spikes are now blackholes

Future Changes

A few more quality of life changes need to be made. I have an idea for a slight redesign of the main character to make it a bit more animated, alive and part of the world. Other changes listed below:

  • Moving Enemy
  • Lasers turning on and off to jump through
  • Triggered traps and doors with timers to get through.
  • Making the level bigger

Using walking and paint throwing, expose the world around you. Use it to find your path and hidden secrets.  If you die, an explosion of paint will help expose the area immediately around you.

I have never released a game before, this would be my first.

Planning on keeping it to one big level that you can explore in multiple directions, hidden secrets, items to collect, with a score at the end to how much you may have missed.
