I found my way to a design process on this game which I talk a bit about on the podcast here, if you're interested. I might do a design retrospective at some point.
Thank you for taking the time to write this, I appreciated reading it. Glad you felt the beginning of the game worked, I went through a series of ideas there and am happy with where it ended up. And also glad to hear you were left wanting more at the end. Thanks for playing!
Thanks for taking the time to write this, and I'm glad you found the game! Yeah it was a labor of love to complete. I think PICO-8 constraints also help keep games a little more reasonable in scope. Cheers!
Thank you so much, so glad you had a chill time! There's no second player in this game, that input display is a PICO-8 system-level thing that can't be changed (as far as I know). Sorry for the confusion. A two-player mode would be really fun though.... hmm...
Thank you Kristin! The "Download" button accepts an optional tip if you'd like to support/buy me a coffee. Really though it's just great to see people connect with and enjoy the game. I intend to make more.
Thank you! It's a cool idea. In a very early version of the game I had "timer moss" which would reset if you didn't moss an area fast enough. I removed it because it felt stressful and too against the feel of the game. Variations like this are still interesting to me though.
Thank you for saying so! Appreciate that you took the time to write this. The game was a joy and challenge to build/design within the PICO-8 constraints. So glad you enjoyed it.
This game is brilliant! I loved discovering the mechanics through play, there were many moments of surprise and delight throughout. Highly recommend this game.
