Hi!

I’m a solo indie game developer currently working on a small playable demo of a low-poly souls-like game in Unity.

At the moment, I’ve just started the project. I have a very basic placeholder character model and I’m developing all the core systems that don’t require final character animations or finished 3D models yet.

The main thing I need right now is:

3D Animator (High Priority)

I urgently need a 3D animator to help bring the gameplay mechanics to life.
This includes:

  • Player locomotion (idle, walk, run, dodge, etc.)

  • Combat animations

  • Enemy animations

  • Basic interaction animations

Without animations, I can’t properly test or implement combat mechanics, so this role is essential.

3D Model Artist (Characters)

I’m also looking for someone who can create the final character and enemy models in a low-poly style, game-ready for Unity.

About the Game

  • Engine: Unity

  • Style: Low-poly

  • Genre: Souls-like, but with additional interesting mechanics beyond traditional souls combat

  • Scope: Short demo for now

The goal is to create a polished short demo and publish it on itch.io.

If the demo receives good feedback and traction, the plan would be to fully develop and release the game on Steam, supported by YouTube promotion and other marketing efforts.

If the project eventually generates revenue, profits would be shared among the team members (RevShare), but that would be discussed later if we reach that stage.

Collaboration Type

This is currently:

  • UNPAID

  • Hobby / experience-focused

  • Low time commitment

  • Potential RevShare in the future

The idea is to gain experience, build something cool together, and potentially turn it into something bigger if it succeeds.

I will remain the main developer and project lead.

Secondary Roles (Optional)

If possible, I would also love to connect with:

  • Another developer (to help with systems/gameplay)

  • Sound designer / composer

  • VFX artist

  • Writer (story / lore)

These are secondary for now — if I don’t find them immediately, that’s okay. The animator and model artist are the priority.
