How I run my federation - I run battle Royals to determine champions - then I run 15 match cards.  After 10 cards - I run a "Grunt Mania" pay per view.  Just a suggestion - best part is that you can run your federation however you want!

Forge your legacy from the ground up. Create custom wrestlers, from hulking giants to rule-breaking villains, and assign them to powerful stables. Design your own championship belts and even build a unique moveset from a massive library of slams, submissions, and illegal maneuvers.

Will you book a legendary Pay-Per-View card, survive the chaos of a 30-man Royal Rumble, or guide a chosen star through a grueling tournament to capture the gold? The choice is yours, but be warned: in the world of GRUNT, anything can happen. A botched move can lead to a career-ending injury, a heated rivalry can spill outside the ring, and sometimes, the referee just isn't paying attention.

This isn't just a game; it's a sandbox for your wrestling stories. Build your dream roster, book the matches, and watch the chaos unfold!

My brother, Aaron, and my best friend Jason loved watching wrestling as kids in the 80's.   We also happened to stumble across a movie "Grunt - The Wrestling Movie" which provided some great lines.  By the way - we have no affiliation with the movie, other than fond memories and appreciation.

Bring creative (and playing a lot of first edition dungeons and dragons) we developed a set of rules for a pencil and paper wrestling game that we played with dice. 

I swear sometime the wrestlers we made up, as well as the real ones,  provided better story lines than what was on television at the time - although none of us came close to coming up with "The Shockmaster" introduction.  Lol.

We thought the randomness of things added a lot to the charm and provide some truly memorable matches.

Anyways, after recently retiring, I decided I would take trying to turn it into a computerized version. 

I hope you get hours off entertainment from this game.  I can picture my brother looking down and watching these "matches" with a huge smile on his face.

A highly customizable text based wrestling game. 

Includes:  

• A ton of record keeping
• Make your own wrestlers and moves
• Injuries / Deaths (oh my!)
• Belts
• You can have divisions of wrestlers that only have matches against other divisions or a free for all! 
• Pay per views so only the best of the best are on the card

9/3 - Fixed bugs in Technician Archetype skills Wear Down and Target a Limb.

9/2 - Fixed bug that wasn't allowing the Mouthpiece Archetype to work correctly.

9/1 - fixed bug that wasn't allowing loaded Hair Pull to get the +3 damage

8/27 - fixed minor bug with Archetype - Mouthpiece.

8/17 - fixed bug that was not rolling variable damages or showing submission rolls.

8/16 addition - Added Levels, XP, Performance Points to spend, updgrades and Archetype personalities for wrestlers.

8/11 addition - Added a "Royal Rumble" feature!

8/3 fix - fixed but that caused program to crash when trying to view rankings.

8/3 fix - Changed the word Divisions to Stables for clarity. 

7/30 fix - Added "Huge" label after health on tale of the tape display

7/28 fix - Fixed bug with hall of fame points and a sound that may have caused crashing.

When you start the game - you will be given the options to:

• [C]ontinue an existing federation
• [N]ew federation

We are going to focus on New Federation

1.  You will be asked to name the federation
2. Do you want the default, custom or load from template?
   1. Default has 64 fictional wrestlers in 4 divisions with 2 "huge" wrestlers per division.  
      1. Great selection if you are just learning the game and want to get the sense of it before spending time with a custom federation.
   2. Custom - you decide everything - How many divisions, how many wrestlers, and create each wrestler.  
      1. Once you finish with your creation, Choose "Archive this Federation as a template" from the main menu BEFORE running any matches or determining Champions.
   3. Template - this loads a template that you have created so you don't have to start from scratch if you want to start over with your federation.

I downloaded it, but it isn't working.  Does it work for windows?

Important - after you download, create a new folder and place all Grunt files within that folder so that it saves!
