I definitely wanted to add a way to bring the mystery transmission back up, but I ran right up to the deadline in development and couldn't add anything more.
I wanted it to be a puzzle, but I grant it's a bit arcane.
Take note of the encoded transmissions (??-???), and how they may be used by others. You'll know immediately if you sent something valuable to a planet.
