I just finished the game, apparently there are different endings but I will just write my review rn and play again later.
Art:
I don't play a lot of pixel art games so I don't have a good way of knowing how the art is in this game. I think it looks really cute tho.
Gameplay:
I haven't played Ace Attorney but I could definitely see the resemblance. I really enjoyed this interactive aspect. Works really well with the fact we're a detective. Also side note, I am not sure if I was supposed to explore more but in the first part of the game. We're introduced to a missing person case but then we move on to the swimming pool with a lifeguard stuck inside? I am not sure if I missed something.
Bugs:
Didn't run into much. The sprites don't show at certain times like in the maintenance(or storage I don't remember) room and the women's changing room. Instead of the sprites, we see a large white rectangle box. This might have been patched up, I saw the game updated right before I continued playing.
Story:
Maybe it's because I chose who I thought was most obviously the culprit but it felt too obvious at times. I am going to see later if the different endings are the different culprits. The change of perspective from Amelia to Vanessa is kind of confusing but you understand after we play as her. The art for the horror parts are nice.
Overall fun experience, making a game takes time and energy and a ton of dedicaton. So much respect to the creator, you completed a demo so it's something to celebrate. Hope you manage to get enough funds on Kickstarter!
