There is a recent comment from NamelessBRO with an instructions how to make it able to run on DSi with GBA Runner 3 :)

Hey! Thx for a finding a way to run it on DSi! <3
Previously, AFAIK, with GBARunner2 it wasn't working well.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a DSi to test, so your experience is pretty helpful!
That would be great if u can write a little "how-to" manual.
Also, I want to say that there is all Acts ported in development branch of repo, so some new releases (also with new languages) will be soon (in a month, approximately). What's your common language, btw?

Hey, thank you so much for the kind words!
If you’d like to help, that would be amazing! You can check out the Contributing Guide — it includes all the details and a link to Discord server where we can chat and plan contributions together.
Spanish translation support is already planned! The base text is taken from the KS:RE project, but it still needs some validation and adjustments for GBA (like menu screens, system messages, etc).
Would love to have you join the project!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m really glad you’re enjoying!
About the two checkboxes: since this port is based on Katawa Shoujo Re:Engineered, it includes both options
- "Disable adult content" — turns off all adult content.
- "Skip hurtful adult scenes" — is part of the Mental Health settings added in KS:RE by users' request, since Act 4 in Hanako’s route contains a particularly heavy scene.
That’s why there are two checkboxes here instead of just one in the original release.
Additionally, right now Act 1 is going through a “polishing” phase — dynamic scenes are being recreated (like the fireworks scene or "Kenji’s route" ending), features such as the Novel Box and Double Speak are being added, along with lots of smaller details to bring the experience as close as possible to the original PC version.

Hi! Thx for your interest!
There are a lot of hardware tricks involved in making the GBA port possible, so pretty much anything could happen. :)
Just to clarify: GBA Runner2 is a hypervisor, not real hardware. It translates GBA instructions on the fly to run on the DSi. Things like DMA-driven audio streaming, precise timer usage, and VRAM updates don’t map perfectly through GBAR2, so the game won’t launch or may behave incorrectly.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a DSi to test on, and running GBAR2 through DSi emulation is not a reliable option.
If you’d like to try the builds, you can run them on most desktop and mobile emulators. Real hardware (like an original GBA, GBA SP, or even DS/DS Lite with a flashcart) will always give the most accurate results.

If you have some time, write to me on Discord (the same username as I have) or Telegram - let's try to solve the problem together, while I haven't received the cartridge yet :)
Also, any information can be useful:
- firmware version (EZ-Flash Omega Definitive Edition)
- cartridge revision (A or B)
- Does it have any customized launcher
Thx in advance!
Almost half a year has passed since the last update. A lot has been added and done, I will try to release another update soon. Follow the devlog :)
From the nearest, what will be included in the upcoming release:
- Added fully working saves (even with previews)
- Sound quality has been greatly improved
- Improved quality of video cutscenes
- Event scenes also began to work better
Right now I am at a very difficult stage of implementing the scene converter and I really want to finally finish the Act 1.
Спасибо! Максимально стараюсь :)
В ближайшее время будет крупный апдейт, который приблизит первый акт к завершению. И наконец-то появятся сейвы!

Thank you! Doing my best :)
There's a major update coming soon that will bring the first act close to being finished. And the savegames will finally be available!
Bad news :(
Thx anyway for the response.
The only purpose for me - is to show the abilities of GBA, because the port contains all the 38 OST tracks in original (non-tracker) sounding, among with using video-cutscene (about 8 minutes of video, i've implement AGMV player to butano framework) among with gameplay, so it's technically interesting project :)
Waiting for the next jams :)
