I love the story telling of the game and the cinematic camera perspectives. Sadly I got stuck in the camera perspective where you have to shoot the demon. I think I missed and couldn't continue from there. Anyways, I really like this game and the mood it sets a lot!

That was...an experience. I can't believe what I just played, but I enjoyed every second of it. It was so wonderful it made me cry. Music is fire. Definitely will play a few more rounds. 10/10

Very creative implementation of the theme! The door sound jumpscared me a bit because it was so loud, but other than that a solid and fun game :)

Sadly, I wasn't able to play the game. Looks like fun, but it seems like the character does not receive any input (literally tried every key on my keyboard and mouse). The pause menu opens with ESC, but there is also no input received.

Thanks, it means a lot to me to hear that. That's exactly the feeling I wanted to convey! Thanks for playing :)

I'm glad you liked it!
The connection to the previous jam theme was unintentional at first and just my alternative to map borders, but nice you noticed that too.  Thanks for playing!

I'm not really familiar with linux or wine, but I'll double check that things like that will work for our next real game release. Thanks

I really enjoy the music! Solving the puzzle and opening the right doors felt really good, pretty solid game! Still have some dungeons to go.

Very creative idea! I agree with the comment below, charging slows down the pace. Other than that, a really good and solid game. Nice artworks!

I would have loved to see the game with all it's planned functionality. Probably too much for a game jam, but wow. There is so much depth and potential to it already. Great job :)

Adding even more pressure to an already hard game made me question myself a bit lol. I was missing ESC to exit out of the game.

Like the idea you came up with! Had some issues with the controls at first and I had to press Shift all the time to be able to aim at the other planes. Had to close the game through task manager after death. Anyway, nice first game :)

Thank you! Maybe I should have been more clear about the instructions and controls - E or Left Mouse Button to cook meat. The looping terrain was just my way of creating "map borders" lol

Thanks, I'm glad you like the goats as much as I do haha

Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you the game Last Soul I made for the GMTK Game Jam 2026.

Last Soul

I hope you can deal with games you cannot win, It's designed to be an experience where you try to survive for as long as possible. Gather resources, befriend or fight wildlife and try not to get lost in the arctic Austrian Alps! Let's see how far you can take it.

I appreciate your honest feedback and rating!

I really hope you can find some joy in this project. :) Have fun!

I like the overall vibe of the game. After getting out of breath for a few times (probably because i level the wrong traits too early on lol) I slayed that skeletons haha.

Very solid game! Plus points for the nice tutorial guide haha.

More stressful than the jam itself, took me a few tries lol. Nice game

Thanks! Thought it would add a nice touch, took me a whole day to make lol

Like the level design! The creatures are really scary.

I like the story telling and the voice acting! Definitely better than mine haha. I would consider adding a skip function to longer sections, the demon got me real quick the first time. And i couldn´t read the subtitles on a widescreen, they were cut off.  Overall nice game, really liked the grass movement :)

Thank you for playing :) I definitely have to work on the performance, but I´m glad you liked it!  To get protection you need to aim at close ghosts with the voodoo-stick. That should work if the energy isn´t empty :D

Thank you! That video helped to fix it permanentely :) I also managed to fix most of the bugs you mentioned and improved the map a bit.

I tried to profile the fps drains..seems like the most drain comes from nanite raster sizes. Couldn´t find a way to load seperate foliage actors instead of the whole instances (using world partition). Will have a deeper dive into that :)

I really like the idea and the artstyle of the game! Great job :)

Thanks for playing! :)

Yeah I know. I managed it to double the fps the last two days but I´m glad it´s playable on low graphics haha.

And thanks for the feedback, I will definitely work on that!  I changed the pool size r.Streaming.Poolsize to 8000. Do I need to set this higher even if my gpu doesn´t have more memory? I´m relatively new to unreal engine and appreciate any help. :)

Hey, I've tried to download and unzip it on my own and only had to do it once? But thanks for your reply, I will check that! :)
