I suspect this is because my laptop has two graphics cards, one of which probably does not support Vulcan

I'm glad the gameplay hooked you - one of the reasons why I didn't get much further with the development of this one was because I felt the gameplay wasn't compelling enough, and I was struggling to come up with other job types, so that means a lot. Maybe I'll return to it some day :)
