hey Garrett, I’m still struggling to find a 2D artist. But then I looked at your portfolio again and realize that you’ve done some 2-D animation. If you had assets handed to you, would you be able to animate them? I think our biggest issue right now is that we have the foundation in the code, but the game doesn’t have good game feel because the animations don’t correlate with the mechanics. You seem to have a diverse portfolio, but would creating animations for our protagonist be something in your wheelhouse?

Hey Kateryna!
I wanted to follow up with you. I really like your composition work, and I think your style could have been a great fit for Hilted, especially for things like boss fights or larger cinematic areas.
However, FordAudio has recently joined the team, so we've filled the audio position for the project. At this point, I don't anticipate needing another composer or sound designer, so I don't want to give you the impression that there is an opportunity available when there likely won't be.
I really appreciate you reaching out and sharing your work with us.
Thanks again, Kateryna, and I wish you all the best!
Hilted. Side project looking for collaborators. A 2D pixel-art steampunk platformer built in Godot. A lot of mechanics are in, and I’m building the first level. Hilted is about staying human in a world obsessed with transcending humanity, where machinery and ambition push people past their limits. I’m looking fora pixel artist, animator, or a sound designer composer who’s excited by the idea and interested in shaping it. The gameplay premise is that you unlock new swords with different abilities that unlock new movement mechanics as well( dash, grapple hook, double jump etc). It’s currently unpaid, with a long-term plan for commercial release and revenue sharing for core collaborators. If it resonates, and you’d genuinely be excited to help shape it, I’d love to show you what I have so far.
