So, its july 23rd right now, but the description says to generate names on the 16th. Am I still able to join even though i'm late?

Okay, so I want to make (have planned) two games: one a normal, command line based windows batch file (entirely text) but I need confirmation as to the other. I want to make a visual novel that, while not being a single game based around what you would see back then, but rather something that has a lot to do with computers and programs at that time. I want to know if this second game I have planned still fits the rules.

well i submitted the (unfinished) second game but still need to know if it fits the rules to continue the project or not.

to all of you saying it's easy different people come from different backgrounds when it comes to skill in a kind of game. Fnf is my first real rhythm game i've ever played and I only just  (been playing since january) beat all the weeks on hard (weeks 2 and 6 being the biggest challenges). I'd say practice on normal for week 6 and then go into hard. Tips i can give: when it gets to the part with a lot of left notes (some down and right notes but no up) near the end, make sure to hit every left note but ignore the other two. try to have around half bar when it comes to this. Then, try to do super well on the next two bits before he does the left note spam again. You should win with barely any bar left, or sometimes lose because of circumstances. Filling up the bar is the only goal in the game to win, and good luck! you're going to need it when week 7 comes out (and I will too)

Not the creator of the jam, but the rules say nothing against forming a team. If you can, forming a team might be a good idea to help you game get created in time.

I definitely wouldn’t update the jam version after posting, just incase I make big changes and people want to know what the original was like. Thanks for the advice! I’ll try to do a rough brainstorm of characters and ideas and then see how to make them fit the theme.

So, a question:

Are we allowed to come up with the ideas for the game, and just make the assets and code later, or everything in the jam dates (april 30 - may 2)? It says nothing about them, and i'm wondering so I don't break any rules.

And also:

If we decide to turn the jam game into a full game, sorta like what FNF did, should we continue to follow the rules of the jam for consistency or at that point do whatever to make it a good game? This is gonna my first jam (unless I can't figure out Haxeflixel in time), so please excuse me if the question sounds a little bit obvious.

to clarify it was my own mod that i made, not another mod

why does this happen? it just all the sudden started happening when moding week 6... Why does this happen, it wasn't happening before with other weeks when i modded them

Okay, when are the new tracks getting put on spotify? I love the song "Senpai" but I cant liste4n to it without gameplay. Also, Dad, Dad+mom (Christmas), Pixel Bf, Senpai and spirit dont have losing icons. I wish they did as for the ones involving dad there's a space for it but nothing, and the rest just kinda detract from the quality. I also would like to see week 7 or 8 to have something to do with monster as a character and his track "monster", as he had been officially added and has an icon since 2.6 (Christmas).  Other than that, love the game!
