NatureGuessr is a geographic discovery game where your goal is to guess the natural habitat of an animal by placing a pin on the world map.
You get partial credit for correctly identifying the correct geophysical region or subregion for a given species. The game features over a hundred modeled subregions — from the Gran Chaco to Chukotka!
Currently, the game features over 200 animal species from four distinct classes: Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, and Amphibians. Future updates will increase the number of species and introduce new categories like invertebrates and fish.
An "Encyclopedia" section will be added, allowing users to browse the habitats of all animals. The current daily game mode will be supplemented with others, such as themed rounds where you can focus on specific groups (e.g., parrots or frogs).
