Sharing a visual breakdown of Lumen Volley, our sci-fi effects pack for top-down Godot 2D projects. Disclosure up front: the code, text and procedural graphics use substantial generative-AI assistance. These images are actual renders, not hand-painted art.
The twelve attack families use a warning, strike and impact sequence. Three examples in the catalogue show different visual footprints: Plasma Lance emphasizes a direction, Orbital Strike emphasizes a target area, and EMP Bloom expands outward. The aim is to distinguish the attacks by shape and motion as well as color. These are visual cues, not collision or damage logic.
For inspecting animation rather than judging a still image, the free browser demo lets you select each effect, inspect its timeline and compare it on light and dark backgrounds. That comparison is useful before choosing effects for a busy level: the contrast you see against a dark catalogue background may not suit your own scene.
The supplied sources include editable procedural scenes and baked Sprite2D scenes, with transparent PNG atlases. Tested with Godot 4.7.2, Compatibility renderer. The browser/Windows previews and documentation are free to evaluate; the asset-use license and source pack cost USD 14.99 once. Audio and a combat system are not included.
