Hey, thanks for trying it out!!

It was honestly a really intense week 😅.
The switchboard system itself took way more time than I expected, so a lot of the bigger story ideas had to be pushed aside just to make the core mechanic work properly.

It’s honestly crazy that we both had similar idea though 😭

What beautiful visuals!!

Really loved the art style, and it was fun trying to make sense of the clues (even though I’m a really bad detective lol). A really strong submission.

Great job, guys!!! 👏

Thanks for trying it out!!

Actually, there’s no way to read the transcript again 😅 It was meant to be a one-time thing, but thinking about it now, I probably should’ve added a way to reread it.

Hey!
Thanks for trying it out 😄
Ya i will try to keep working on it for sure !!!

Surviving by managing resource, a unique take on "connection" i would say, it was fun scaring the monster away and nice sound design too

GOOD WORK GUYS !!!

Cool !
i will check it out , feel free to check mine too

Honestly, I’m not even sure how my game turned out (o_ _)ノ

I had a bigger story in mind, but I wasn’t really able to fully land it in such a short time. It ended up being more of a vertical slice focused on the core mechanic and atmosphere instead of the full experience I imagined.

Still learned a lot though, especially about scope and how hard it is to balance gameplay, story, atmosphere, bugs, audio, modelling, everything within a jam deadline.

For the jam theme “Connection,” I decided to take a more literal approach inspired by operator/switchboard style games like Killer Frequency.

In my game, you play as a night shift operator manually connecting calls by plugging cables into an old switchboard system. The main focus right now is creating atmosphere and making the player feel involved in the process of connecting people through calls and conversations.

It’s currently more of a vertical slice showing the core mechanic and vibe, but I’m planning to expand it further with more story and progression later on.

Would love to hear what people think about the interpretation of the theme and the overall concept.

Hello!!

My game isn’t fully horror based on current story. Right now the horror is mostly in the setting and atmosphere. I wanted to add more story and horror elements later since this is mainly a vertical slice showing the core mechanic and vibe.

So the story is - "You play as a night shift operator connecting cables between callers through an old switchboard system. For the theme “connection,” I went with literally connecting calls while slowly building an uneasy feeling through the conversations and atmosphere."

Planning to expand it more in the future with a bigger story and progression.
