Fantastic art/modeling here. And music. Good vibes in general.

Sadly I had a hard time clicking on anything, the hover effects were off center and I had to click multiple times for things to happen. Maybe this is related to 4K screens or fractional displays, don’t know.

The ice-cream-making dance is CUUUTE.

Hey, thanks, loved Sheep Keeper!

And music is definitely coming to Ghostwrap but the TIC-80 doesn’t allow importing audio files, every bit of audio is synthesized so I just didn’t have time for a proper soundtrack. Will do that in the next few weeks.

Thanks, cann!

Loved the art and the typesetting. It felt horrible to have little Molli freeze solid!

Love it. Great puzzle design. I had vertigo when the beetle ended up in the middle of the sky after the last level.

Would love a command to undo the last move. Also, I encountered a bug one time where the beetle was moving in between the cells of the grid… I couldn’t follow the paths anymore and had to reset.

Would love to play more levels of this.

Wow the art and the feel of this game is amazing. It’s so satisfying to jump around and find ways onto the roofs. And of course it feels good to help the other characters with simple things :)

I loved the pacing. It fit the vibe. Though I could have used more feedback during the mini games! Not sure if I was doing it correctly.

I’m loving TIC-80! Lots of constraints but also very capable. I’m not sure how to make the HTML export mobile-friendly though.

Looking forward to dig into the music tracker and add music to this game.

This game has good writing and good world building. Very cozy. Crunch crunch.

Lovely game and concept. I loved the juxtaposition of 3D and 2D art!

Peanut Pond must be frozen over this time of year.

Today I released The Shears of Atropos which is a recreation of the game Coins-and-strings, which is the graph version of the better known game Dots-and-boxes.

This is a great game to play with a sibling or friend at the back of the car (or at the back of the class).

Players take turn cutting one thread at a time, collecting lives/circles, and the winner is the one with the most lives at the end. After collecting a life, the player has to make another cut. It’s a game with simple rules that can get wildly complex at larger board sizes. In this version, you can experiment with boards from 2x2 up to 6x6.

It plays well on the phone too. You can play with someone or against the CPU.

Try it out.

There’s more info about the original game on Wikipedia of course, but also in the book Winning Ways for Your Mathematical Plays (1982).

Thanks for playing! I’ll take that into account. I think others are also annoyed by the dialogue sounds ;)

Fun! And difficult. I had to learn to hide a lot and drive-by.

Nice one. Oh the sound effect when grabbing a fish.

I find myself wishing the whole game was sped up a little. Or sped up over time maybe.

Fantastic mechanic. And only using the mouse… I can see this becoming a popular mobile game for example.

The difficulty ramped up quickly! But I’m glad the rabbits are safe. Fun.

Really well put together these visuals and the music/sound effects!

I felt a shiver up my spine after making a snow angel in the icy puddle.

Really good execution on this one! The spinning foxes look both a little helpless and also like ice skaters. Lovely.

This was already mentioned but I would have liked to see the fox and the exit point more clearly on some levels. And I’d love to play vol. 2 with the difficulty ramped up!

Also, you might like The Lowly Lamplighter as it has similar mechanics (/self promo).

Great art and vibe!

I am hungry.

Didn’t know picross before this. Good game! I love the fact that the solution turns into a holiday object. It also serves as a soft hint when solving.

Thanks, BuffBakery. This is great.

I have a bugfix release ready as soon as the embargo is lifted!

What a vibe. I do feel more patient after playing this.

Loved the concept! The music has charm. Would love a full game like this.

Thank you! I just added very strong hints in the game’s description.

Oh that’s the scariest coil I’ve ever seen!

Thanks, GREG_Br! Nothing is random except the initial shuffle at the beginning of a game. Within a game, every identical-looking tile will perform the same action. But there are 12 actions in total so it’s very difficult to hold all of that in one’s mind…

Lovely! Very cool concept.

I downed the minotaur before they could axe a question.

Fiou. On est saufβ€―!

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of takers but here’s my game for playtesting if anyone is up for it:

Let me know if you find bugs or get stuck…

I’m happy to return the favor.

Bite Size Game Jam community Β· Created a new topic Playtesting

Would anyone be up for playtesting each other’s games?

We could leave the link/password in this thread and others could have a play and leave a comment if they find a bug or get stuck somehow. I could even record my screen as I play if that’s helpful.

(My own game might be ready for playtesting tomorrow.)

Woop! Let’s go.

Hi all—I'd be happy to work as part of a team for this jam if anyone is looking to partner up. Could be just a duo or an actual team, either way.

In terms of skills, I can do programming and music. I've used PICO-8 and kaplayjs recently, and I have very basic Godot skills.

πŸ‘‹ I just released a brainy puzzle game. You can give it a play and if you would, please let me know how difficult it is… I’m still in the dark as to how hardcore this game really is.

The Lowly Lamplighter

The Concept

The game is about placing pokes on the screen so that the flame will find its way to the lamp. Pokes can push the flame and each other (!) and once they get moving, they will move until they are stopped or pushed again in another direction.

It’s turn-based so you have to anticipate what is going to happen and hope that everything will turn out fine once you start the turn.

There is no punishment for failing and you are free to move around and try other puzzles if you get stuck.

Background

The game was inspired by Castlemouse, Blobbo, and other puzzle games of the past. See the devlog for much more info.

It was made with the PICO-8 fantasy console.
