Genuinely the first of the games I've played for the jam that I feel really NAILED the theme. I was also really pleased at the point and click mechanics. Objects for interaction seemed obvious, but in case of me being obtuse, there was also the prayer button to highlight all interactable objects. Resetting inventory progress didn't feel too punishing, and I actually enjoyed the feeling of dying right before I was able to figure out a puzzle, as it gave me something to immediately do on the next run. Short, sweet, and shockingly well executed for such a short amount of time! Well done.

The art style is absolutely delightful! Lovely little game, certainly worth the short time to play it.

This was really good, all round! The villian of the story is unfortunately a bit stereotypical, which was not my favorite, and the report was too sharp a curve in difficulty from the previous challenge. Perhaps locking in the answers by paragraph would be a closer match? In particular, I got hung up on "ended up trapped and..." as the answer was more subjective and dramatic than I felt appropriate for the report.

All in all, I found the gameplay very engaging, and I was locked in to complete it to the end.

Unable to complete, unfortunately! I got stuck when I had found all the viles, lit the candle, and didn't know the password to the journal. Some highlighting or outlining of interactable objects would be nice, as I found it difficult to distinguish the background from the things I should be interacting with. I didn't even know the cloak was a cloak until I started spam clicking trying to find things.

The story is interesting, if predictable, but I wasn't left with much in the way of curiosity after a few viles worth of flashbacks.

The game is devastatingly gorgeous, though. The greenhouse is one of the most beautiful backgrounds I've seen in VN, and the UI is really pretty.

Wish I could have played to completion!

this was really neat! honestly a fantastic go for a game jam. The art style was fantastic and the world hinted at feels really intriguing--I want to know more!

As with the other commentor, I agree that mystery feels a bit rushed and lacking. Some things hinted at (like being able to cross examine the berries with other accounts) are dropped, and then the game just...finishes without much warning. I'd love a second pass to be made at this game with a bit more free time to flesh out the really solid bones this game has.

I'm left with a lot of questions, feeling a bit unsatisfied, but hungry for more!

Also the mirror notes were a VERY clever way of going over clues--I loved it!

Thank you so much! I'm not much of a UI designer, but I was really happy with how it turned out.

it's soooo cuuute!!

so cute!!

ah!! I’m very excited about this comment. Thank you so much for taking the time! Means a ton to hear that somebody enjoyed it so much!!
