Thanks! The font does need to change. (sorry I missed you)

Thanks! I would like to do some more puzzle-y levels. I was kinda disappointed with how little I was able to integrate puzzle and platforming, but I guess that's how it goes with game jams.

Thanks! I would agree winding does kinda kill the pacing (and I almost made winding affect walking speed too *shutter*)

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who played this and left a rating! Actually made my month to read what people had to say about this.

Thanks!

Awesome game! 5 stars across the board, no notes!

I so badly want this game to be fully functional. I was having a great time already, but I ran into a few bugs and the game stopped letting me shoot elements. Then I read the known bugs and now I am sad cause it all sounds so cool. I saw that you weren't going to give up and that great! I would encourage making a playable tutorial though as it is kinda hard to get a grasp on what everything does through the written tutorial. Overall, very fun! I am so impressed by the stuff a lot of newbies were able to create in this jam!

Cool, thanks!

I can see you drew some inspiration from the first Legend of Zelda. I like the "figure it out on your own" angle like from that game. Could use just a bit of polish, music and some hit feedback on the boss come to mind. But overall, not a bad little game, great for a newbie.

Oh really? Well I was wondering how you go about designing levels. Do you know what puzzles and challenges you want ahead of time or is it more figure it out as you go? Level design is something I struggle with immensely so I am always looking to see how other people do it.

Thank you!

The puzzles are really good. Its actually pretty similar to what I wanted my game to be, just more streamlined... Actually, I'm gonna take notes.

Noted. Thanks a lot!

Wow you played a lot. Got room for one more?

Bird game kinda hard. Feel free to leave any critiques.

There you go left a comment on your game. It's got a good foundation and I would like to see it develop.

Very cool, but the one big issue I have with it is the active slot. Once something enters the active slot, that's it. There were a few times that my guy needed to heal, but he already had his sword ready, so walked into battle and died immediately. Or my guy used all his cards but a shield, and I couldn't discard it so he walked into battle used his shield, the immediately got mobbed while his deck was refreshing. If cards didn't go to active until they could be used then I think that would about solve it. Other than that, I really like it. Could use some touch up here and there and there is one map where my dude just refuses to move, but overall, not bad!

Thanks a lot! Your right the release mechanic was not very well explained. The keys could have been more prominent since they were supposed to be what indicates remote activation. Glad you liked it!

Yeah didn't realize the font didn't really work till it was too late. My tutorial could use some work too. Glad you liked it though!

Different how? Like a new input, or a different type of jump?

Thanks. Guess the second spikes were a little too hard too quick, huh? I will keep that in mind.

Thanks! Your game is awesome btw.

Thank you!

That's a good point. Honestly that last conveyor belt section was never supposed to be apart of it. I was coming way to close to the deadline and there was no way I was going to get a proper puzzle for that final section. I'd like to rework it  a bit after the jam is officially over.

Don't know if your still doing this, but I played yours so I'll just leave this here.

Mechanically amazing, except for grappling on gems. They are too small to do it intentionally and too frequent to avoid doing it on accident, but doesn't detract too much from the fun. Not sure I can really rate you on the theme though. A little goal or gem based progression + some context as to why would go a long way. Very nice polish btw.

Super fun, but wall jumping is a pain. I noticed that there is a little pull yourself up mechanic while wall jumping at the top but it felt really inconsistent and not communicated well so it left me all like "Why ma wall jump actin' weird at da top?"  Also, maybe a little nitpicky, but having a non-stealth based boss fight at the end of a mostly stealth based game is a little jarring. But over all I loved it, very impressive for a newbie. If you want to add more later, might I suggest either a wall cling to stay in place while holding into a wall or a ledge hang to better indicate the get up mechanic.  I think either of those are both assassin-esc and would address some issues with wall jumping. Either way, really fun, good job.

Thanks! Your game was awesome! Can't believe your newbies.

You two are amazing! Good game, good art, fits the theme perfectly, 10/10, no notes!

Sounds like a deal!

Overall, pretty good. I want to beat it, but I am not good enough with a keyboard to get past that pogo section. Also opening up a level on a sudden drop feels like a slap in the face. I did enjoy it though.

I'll take you up on that.

Thanks for the confirmation. The way they do it makes sense.

Hey not bad, I could see a little something something out of this. SFX would go a long way though.

Incredibly well polished, and even a little addictive. Seriously, the only fault I can find is that it takes a second for everything to click, but when it does, *chefs kiss*. Nice work

Very technically impressive! I like the figure it out on your own angle, but I did not realize the importance of soy beans until it was too late and I ran out. The planet is cool too. You get caught on random bits here or there, but I love the mario galaxy style rotation. Nice work!

You don't know how much I appreciate that feedback! Kinda panicked toward the end and made it a little too hard, lol

I kinda panicked when I was uploading my submission to the jam (first time uploading to itch).  Will I get disqualified if I edit the page to include them to this entry?
