I'm Andre. For most of my working life I have made things for other people: motion graphics, brand films, websites, and I teach 3D and design software. The game I wanted to make sat at the back of all of it. This year I made it, and the first act is free today for Windows and Mac.

Ashe & Granite is a horror novel you play. A voice reads it with you, you choose or you type what you would do, and you get one life. There are no saves and no going back from a death; die, and you begin another life knowing what you know. The demo is the first act, set in Hollywood, Florida, where I was born and where the book opens. Twenty to thirty minutes, fully voiced.

The full book is ten days at a cabin twenty-five miles past a town called Silverhead, up in the Colorado mountains. I live in Colorado now, and the book ends there. 160,000 words, 71 endings, one of them the way out. It comes to Steam in early 2027.

How it was made, plainly: one person, with AI assistance. The story, the design, the art direction and the interface are mine. Most sentences were first drafted with an AI writing tool to my briefs and are revised by my hand. The paintings were generated and hand-finished. The narration is synthesized, apart from one voice, which is my own. All of it switches off in Settings.

I built my own system to carry it, StoryMaster, so I can keep telling stories like this in other worlds. This is World One.
