It is a bit hard indeed. But you've mentioned it in the description in the game intro, so that's fair. The only UX challenge I found was commanding a unit while it's moving. I think a UI indicator for the selected Unit and the movement line could help if they appear earlier, as soon as you start dragging the unit, not just when you let go. Other than that, and even though I couldn't beat it, I really enjoyed the challenge!

In Underbloom, you're a small glowing jelly in an underground garden. Creatures you kill leave their parts behind, and you can graft them on: toad legs to hop, thorn arms to lash, moth wings to blind enemies. By the end of a run, you're a mix of everything you hunted.
A run takes about 10 minutes in the browser. If you try it, I'd love to hear how it went, what felt good, what confused you, and what killed you 🫣😅

Thanks for all the amazing games I got to play this week. ❤️

You are the monster in this world.
The game is Underbloom, and you are a Glim, a small glowing jelly in a bioluminescent jungle. You raid nests, harvest their creatures' parts, and graft them onto your body to grow stronger. Survive raids and hunger to meet and defeat the Brood Queen, probably snatch her throne.
Art of world and creatures is built with DreamLayer & Magnific. The integration is amazing and the style is consistent across the whole game. From concept to cleaned up parts that are animated by a procedural rig.
Releasing soon & feedback is welcome!
