I'm just as confused. Submissions were closed then reopened. Voting time again, and... no way to actually rate the games? Odd, odd, odd. Any clarification would be helpful, to whoever sees this thread and has any answers.

Cute! Takes a little while to get the hang of it.

Challenging, but I like the music! The camera jumped around a bit too much and was a little jarring, but you get used to it after a while. Pretty cool that you made all the assets for it!

Super cute! I like the art. A couple things: the game didn't pause while the info box was up at the beginning, so I didn't have time to read all the rules and then my little alien dude was almost dead. Are there weapons? I was just kind of body-slamming the enemies until wave 8 when I died for reals.

Generally, you can turn around and thrust a little bit to hold yourself steady and stop the forward momentum. I had thought about adding a stabiliser, but never actually implemented it.
As for the mouse-aiming: I find mouse movement very, very awkward and I just... don't like it. I started the game on a laptop with a touchpad, so when I started designing the movement and all, it was with keyboard-only in mind. I finished it at a desk with a traditional mouse, but it never occurred to me to include mouse-aiming. If I ever return to it, I'll add that as a setting.

Plus, not using a mouse for anything but menus makes it super accessible. I cannot play a lot of games that require agile use of a mouse and wish they had a keyboard option!

Cute! I'm not very good at mouse games (two waves and can't afford a single upgrade...) but it's cute! I like the art you did. c:

A great pack and just what I was looking for! I used it for my game: https://mortalitazi.itch.io/outpost-ares

Thanks so much! I was having a rough time finding sounds that suited my game before I found yours.

No need to call me out like that, darn.

I have updated the code to 4.2. Great pack! Seriously, going through and fixing all the syntax changes between the two versions has made me appreciate this code incredibly. I was mainly looking for enemy code, but there's so much more in this. If you'd like the updated project, please let me know. I will gladly send it back to you.

The movement feels good, really satisfying. Good bouncing, and the wall slide is a great mechanic.

I will save this version as is with the fixes, and make a duplicate to incorporate into my own projects. I tested in the demo level and as far as I can tell, everything is working as you had created.
