No problem!  I've collected it through bandcamp already, thank you. Fan Zines are all about contributions from a fandom's artists, so I'm more than happy to dive in where I can.

But I did also initially look up an article on how-to-geek on downloading soundcloud tracks if the creator sets their availability, so heads up in that I think the settings need to be toyed around with on that site, and that's most likely what caused the confusion.

Ah, I see - to clarify, I meant that I didn't find a way to download from Soundcloud and assumed the option may have been turned off for a reason. Though I typically don't frequent that site, so I could very well just be unfamiliar. Thank you for your work though, the entire package is lovely!

Is "Soundcloud Download" meant to be listen-only? I'm slightly confused by the wording, though of course it would be perfectly understandable if the creator doesn't want to allow downloads - I just wasn't expecting it since we also got the cover art.

Loved the zine though! Found it through the Fandom page and was surprised with all the little digital goodies it came with. For an indie project like this with what I think was only the first three installments at the time, that is some love from the community. <3

So many old shimejis being archived! The Garry (IB) I had back in high school!!! So many old shimeji links fail now. This is such a great app.

An update in that I finally got around to playing it again after the patch, and I can glady say that the game worked fine his time around. The issue last time may have been isues with extraction/storage on my computer, or perhaps otherwise a bug I encountered that the patch helped with. Either way, I played it now, and it was cute!

Will happily try this soon! Though, are there any plans to release this on Steam?

Note after trying it: I didn't seem to be able to save (it just said "Can not save!" so idk if it was a bug or I needed story progress or what), and got a couple of error messages that forced restarts: one of them was after adjusting language in the options menu, and the other was after I got my first Bad End. (I also noticed a typo already, but that's a lot more of a nitpick.)

Not being able to save or find whatever file directory like the error said, I decided against progressing for now.

10/10, gives me desktop buddies where Homestuck shimeji links failed
would be 100/10 with trolls

I was able to make my Goth Elf OC without much issue, 10/10

for future reference for anyone with trouble though... it took me way too long to realize the options on the right could scroll down

Oh this was an absolute blast from the past. Glad I got to officially add it to my collection somewhere.

Getting the secret ending was harder than expected, lol. I was convinced that I kept clicking past it, looking up how to get it on the wiki, and went through it like 4-5 times only to discover I was locked into the bad route the whole time, lol.  Because I decided to take a certain picture. Note for the future: fuck Bernard.

Also: a sequel to the World Ends With You was indeed willed into existence, therefore ending is canon to the universe. It has been done. All is right with the world.

Edit, making not of my avatar: I nearly lost my shit at the reference to Garry. We are all stuck in 2012 gaming.

I have returned! Sorry to say that it took me until now to reinstall the program and take a look at Intermission 2 and the chapter of the journal afterward. Wonderful stuff, kudos on the messager look for I-2's conversation especially! After clearing out some space on my computer, the program that is used to update the game seems to be working too. I hope this project is still going strong and that I can see another installment in the foreseeable future!

Lmao ok, I'm starting the demo now, but letting you know the controls really threw me off. Even with a ton of games with Z as confirm, I thought I could confirm through Enter, Space, or clicking and I was so confused why I couldn't get past the menu. Especially since the initial screen says "Press Enter", so why wouldn't that be a confirm button?

A nitpick I know, but it threw me off so much I thought the game was bugged at first before I took a look at the READ ME file.

Sorry it took so long to look here and get back to this, but in the end I suppose that was only to my own detriment, lol. I appreciate the guide and that you couldn't get too detailed. Turns out I didn't notice the thing was clickable because I thought it was a truck or something in the scenery. The secret clickables! Thanks, and have a great holiday

To be more specific, I'm missing Bad End 2. And my previously-acquired notes were unlocked from the get-go for this new download, but to be sure, I sped through all of Meenah's routes too. Then I ran through all the options with Aranea again but I didn't notice any changes.

I'm confused - I did all of Aranea's routes as far as choices go and did the ending for fast-forwarding. What am I missing for my last little Aranea-related achievement?

Why did it take so long for me to find out the demo dropped?! I am SO on this, Picky Penguins!

Unfortunate, but understandable! Hope it gets worked out soon.

Hey, I thought I'd give some input on my experience now. I downloaded it and tried it when I kept a lot less tabs on my itch.io account - I doubt I knew I even had an open account at the time to leave my input. So a lot of this is from memory, but I'll share all the same.

I was excited to come across this, honestly. Reminded me a lot of the shimeji that I collected from deviantArt and loved to watch roam around my desktop while I was in high school - just keep it on for a long time and see how overrun it could get. And for the most part, I got that experience again with the goose and it was very in-character, I dare say.

But I came across the same crashing issues that Pawa reported, though I'm not sure if the triggers were the same. I'm not sure if the notepad elements were involved, but if I were to have the goose active for any substantial amount of time, it would eventually crash like that. Well, I say eventually, but I think it took like 10 mins tops.

Would recommend that ever got fixed.

Thank you for the update, and I hope the automatic system for the next one goes smoother! I can't wait to see which Dancestors are next.
