Thank you 🙏 thank you! There are some bug fixes on the way that should hopefully improve it, we’ll see how it goes. 

Thank you so much for that feedback! I’m adding the bar issue to Task Tracker, I think you’re right. We should allow the bar to wiggle a bit more to show under BOILING there’s room for one more level before finding treasure. 

Yes! Golf carts are eventually going to happen. Before then we’ll have to address bug fixes like the one you mentioned, add soundFX, and complete the upgrades section. There’s also mud pits to be added. So much to do, so little time. Thank you for your kind words, thoughts, and feedback, they mean a lot and hope you’ll enjoy more to come!

Thank you so MUCH jox2, for your encouragement and feedback! I'm super grateful for all the points you've made and will be exploring ALL of it into our Task Tracker. I'm going to meditate on all of your points:

  1. Timed bonus based on hitting DIG on the meter's set point indicator such was when it hits the middle or end (we would add a notch in the GUI to make it clear), similar to Gears of War reload. The right timing gives you a perk.
  2. Setting a potential weakness to the shovel with limited use but if well timed in digging within indicator, could last double (we'll test it)
  3. Satisfying sounds (yeah maybe it's time to not be a coward on audio and start getting into it now). 
  4. Radio plays in the BKG like with GTA, implying also you can switch stations and listen to different tunes (a genius idea, jox2, you're brilliant! Lots of work but probably worth it. )
  5. Thanks again for your feedback and anything else you got, we'll explore it!

It's a tossup between Dimitri and Sigma One depending if the creator of Dimitri replies to my email for usage rights and pricing, otherwise, the second place winner will be the one. We'll find out by next week ! :)

Who: I'm new to itch.io but have been a game dev for 20 years and decided to finally announce a game!

What: It's a treasure hunt experiment using a metal decetor and over 100 precious metals from rusty nails to gold to palladium scattered all across a wide plain with blue skies and chirping birds to help take the edge off of an otherwise stressful day. You pick up treasure, collect in your bag, sell it at the shop, buy item upgrades like ... a bigger bag or faster shoes, and you go to town (or park) uncovering as much sweet metal goodness as your metal detector can find.

When: For the next 12 weeks we'll be embarking on a journey to figure out a title, font, color scheme, and later some details. 50% of is already done and fun but needs to be bug free before sharing.

Why?: Because it's fun and I haven't been able to find anything like this. I love metal detectors, peace, chirping birds, and a chance at getting filthy rich!

How?: I have no idea. With Unity engine and lots of courage, we're going to find out!
