I didn't expect my haphazardly made, held by tape and a dream, OC freakfest to be so high up.

How did I even get 3 stars on audio? Guys, there is NO AUDIO.

AAAAAAAAAHhh... (thud)

...They truly were, a FrenJam 2: Electric Boogaloo...

YOUR EMERGENCY BRAKE IS ON

Glad you enjoyed it.

I was going to add a drawing showing what the fountain item was, but totally forgot about it. I was going to reference the Channeling Stone from Silent Hill 2. But the glow shape was indeed based on the Undertale save point.

About the dialogue problems, the Dialogic addon has a lot of problems that I couldn't fix, nor I had the capability to create a system on my own.
As far as I had tested, one of the problems was that mashing the interact button and starting a conversation before the window animation ended caused the new window to go invisible for the first dialogue line.
Maybe using an await instruction on the source code of the animation or adding a wait command at the end of every dialogue could fix that, I will take a look at it later.

WELCOME TO THE BALD ZONE

Quality level so high it made me feel indecent. Although I keep getting my ass beat and can't get past level 2!

Funny, but I don't see the big dGOOD GRIEF HE IS NAKED

Visuals aside (I really dislike stock RPG Maker assets, sorry), this had me laughing the whole way. (GOOD GRIEF HE'S BALD!)

The power progression being similar to Final Fantasy 2 is funny on its own way, considering how much Joel loathes that game.

Not that hard, didn't had to think much aside just holding the attack button. I didn't even get to abuse the Pot of Greed.

Fren's weapon progression was a bit confusing, since his starter weapon always did more damage than the bleed the second one inflicted, then he gets a weapon that hits 2-6 times, can crit and can be POOMPED by Joel.

Rather funny, the pixel art looks good.

The hit detection could be better, I had no idea if I was hitting the enemies or if the animation was glitched, as the enemies were dying seemly at random.

And no idea if its a problem on my side, but the audio was really really low for some reason. I could hear some sort of mumbling at the start, but only noticed there was sound when the scissors made some noise.

Looks pretty good, the intro with the thumb joke and Thumb waxing his head so hard he becomes a flaming skeleton made me laugh, but I didn't vibe with the controls.

While I loved the "oomph" the dash has when you hit enemies, a way to cancel the dash or better air control would be really nice, as most of my deaths were from dashing into an enemy and immediately falling into a nearby pit, or bouncing off an enemy that takes more than one hit and dropping into a pit behind me.

Very simple and quite fun but extremely unfair.

A bit janky, but fun. Had some problems with the super jump, that either came out at random or only after I kept spamming the buttons.

Gameplay and visuals are superb, but there is a serious lack of baldness and skeletons.

I can't accept the compliment about the visuals as they were from an asset pack, but I'm glad you liked the characters.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

I actually reduced the map to less than 50% the original size. I planned a second housing district , but decided not to as stuff were getting too far from each other, which explains the map rectangular shape. I may have resized the gridmap to be a bit too big.

Some empty parts were going to have more NPCs or buildings, but I ran out of time and only finished the ones I had ready. If you noticed, there is no Liza Clone Two or Four.
