Hi there. I have quite a few game concepts in the works if any of them might appeal to you. Do you have Discord?

Hi all — I'm Mitchell, a game designer with a tabletop RPG background (player and DM) and about two years of focused study in game design. My strengths are on the concept and design side: research, ideation, narrative design, systems building, and mechanics. I don't bring coding or engine experience to a team, so I work best alongside developers and artists who want a dedicated design partner.
My current portfolio spans five projects across five different genres: a turn-based dungeon crawler built around risk/reward path management (with paper and digital prototypes showing the full iteration arc), a story-driven adventure RPG about identity and coming of age built on a crafting and alchemy system, a turn-based city builder where resource scarcity and random seasonal events pressure-test every plan you make, a narrative mystery game set in a 1980s New York psychiatry practice where you diagnose patients using real psychological frameworks, and a Lovecraftian survival horror game with a fully realized city map and world design built to make that genre accessible in ways the board game tradition never could. The range is intentional and so is the thinking behind each one.
What I'm looking for (LFP): A project with a small, communicative team that has room for a designer who can contribute from concept through documentation. Doesn't need to be paid — I'm building experience and connections.
What I'm offering (LFS): I'm also open to bringing someone on for my own projects, particularly developers or artists interested in narrative-driven or systems-heavy work.
If any of this sounds like a fit, feel free to reply here or send me a message on Discord: @mitch_bae. Always happy to share my portfolio!
