not really. it's endless till you lose (at some point you run out of resources as well). The full game will be somewhat like this but waaaaaaaaay longer with exploration involved.

about the music, it's not intentional :)

They made it in 3 months :)

of course much is missing, I wanted to test the taste buds of modern gamers with the core mechanics. Full game will have much more than the original.

Yeah, of course of all the feedback is correct but I don't wanna spend too much time on the prototype while the real game is coming along nicely!

My bad on the score, i'll update it manually.

Preventing cheating in leaderboards takes a lot of work, like code obfuscation, sum checking and what not.

Oh man, i'll have to delete those entries from the leaderboard, sorry mate. Thanks for finding that bug though i'll update the game on friday.

There won't be a leaderboard in the final game (it's singleplayer, and players can easily cheat on their machine). The final game will have a fog of war and an almost endless space to explore, with planets, asteriods and the likes.

I'll add it.

And beat you in the leaderboards :D

Thanks for taking a keen interest in the prototype!

God I am so happy people remember and appreaciate that game, makes me less pasimisitic about the future of Frontier.

There's definitly a way to upgrade! Press U while hovering over the building. You can watch\read the tutorial for more info (in game tutorial is simply too "expensive" for a 60 hrs demo)

A quick tip. The upgraded turrets are stronger and have a longer range, but they don't cope that well vs. the fast enemies.

I'll check that scrolling bug.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hmmm, I have no idea, but the prototype isn't built for performance what-so-ever. I I'm building the full game on top of a fast tech stack, so you should be able to play with mac and have thousands of enemies on the map.

Sorry for the inconvenience :) and thanks for your interest!

Sorry of the vagueness, it's first time I publish to mac (anything)

I uploaded a mac version, lemme know if you have any problems

I'll check it out and upload a mac build

Weird, should work for mac, can you specify what the problem is?

Thank you!

Thanks Alon!

Global Game Jam 2021 was a friggin blast! We got to do the sweetest game ever, and really tied the core mechanic to the theme (Lost & Found).

Treasure Hunt is a 2 player a-synchronous multiplayer game in which the players hide a bag of coins in the level, and try to find the opponents bag using radars and sonars. Fastest to find his opponents bag - wins!

Make sure you have a partner matching up as well!

And here's a quick video of Gilad Baumhorn, my PoC, playing the game and explaining some of the mechanics.
