Hi, MiliSo here. StemPie is a storage visualizer for 3D models on Windows. It scans your drives and draws every model file as one big treemap, where bigger files get bigger tiles. Click a tile to see the model in 3D.

It's for 3D artists, game developers and 3D-printing people whose drives are full of downloaded and exported models.

What's in the first build (0.9.0 beta): it finds STL, OBJ, FBX, glTF/GLB, PLY, DAE, 3MF, 3DS, Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, USD, Alembic, SketchUp, STEP, IGES and more. It groups files by project, folder or file type, and gives you a live 3D preview with wireframe and auto-rotate. You can set a triangle or quad limit, and over-budget models get a red outline. It is read-only: it never moves, renames, deletes, converts or saves your files.

It runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), with no installer and no admin rights. It is a beta, so expect some rough edges. Scene files like .blend and .ma/.mb are listed with their size but have no 3D preview yet. Linux support and scene file previews are planned.

I'd love bug reports, feature requests and file types you'd like added. Leave a comment here or on the page. Thanks for looking!
