Glad you liked the easter egg :d
I wanted to include something that will make entering the "wrong rooms" a little bit more worth it :)
Really good game. Other people have said a lot of positive feedback so there is hard to add sth.
The only negative thing i could say is maybe the controls need some tweaking. Would prefere to play this game with keyboard only. There could also be some shortcuts for buying new spells and they could be equiped with some other shortcuts and the mouse would be only for reordering them.
Very cool incremental game. The only negative thing i can say is that ascending one car several times was a bit annoying because it required quite a lot of clicks for each ascend.
The game had some new mechanics with the progression so it was a big plus.
I think there is some winning screen/message missing because after having unlocked full track the game just poceded without any info,
Ah i see, sorry.
Yes, you are right. The order of keys is random, and it is an intentional choice to prevent player cursors from clicking where the keys will spawn, grabbing them, and unlocking the door.
The solution is to spam-click on the ground. Then after 10–20 seconds enter the next room and unlock the door. Then, on the last loop, make your final cursor a "server of keys" which will take the proper key color and give it to the spam-clicking mouse so it can pick it up. Though you’re not the first person I know who had to brute-force it, so maybe this solution was too counterintuitive and needed one extra level to teach the "serving items to past cursors" interaction/mechanic.
Hey. Glad you liked it.
Some levels had random elements. In the SECRET CODE the code combination to the door was re-generated every restart [R] but not every time loop [P]. And if you missed it due to the similar colors it was written at a wall after a switch in the second room was clicked.
But pressing the switch was locking a keyboard (alarm / safety mechanism like in banks) so you have to either wait a bit with the second cursor to leave a time window for writing the code for the second one, or prevent the first cursor from entering the door and clicking the switch since you knew the code already.
Hey, glad you liked it.
Some levels had random elements. In the SECRET CODE, the door’s combination is regenerated on every restart [R] but not on every time loop [P]. And if you missed it (thanks to the similar colors) it’s written on a wall after you click the switch in the second room.
However, pressing that switch locks the button keyboard (an alarm/safety mechanism like those in banks), so you either have to wait a moment with the first cursor (giving yourself a time window to enter the code during the second loop) or prevent the first cursor from entering the door and flipping the switch, since you already know the code.
Cool game. The graphics looks solid. Glad that there were enemy variance so there was some novelty to look for. Even for simple arcade-like games something changing over time/exploration of new stuff is cute.
I got one glitch that the enemy glitched inside the "start of the loop marker" and i couldn't finish the loop without being hit. Probably some "perfect angle bounce" lottery that never happens.
This game has very satisfying effect. It is a bit like watching some perfectly synchronised machine working.
Also i really liked that you could actualy interact and push your past / future clones. In most games of this type the movements are recorded and characters acction will finish no matter of environment.
Really solid game.
Arch linux ricing clicker. Very cool graphics.
I have played a lot of incremental games but this is quite visualy unique because you can see all the processess as tiny simulations. So it is not just numbers increasing like in Universal Paperclips. It really adds a lot to the game.
Also nice that there were multiple resources, not just money. And that there was a cool ending screen. It is satisfying to see something after you finish the game :)
Really fun game. I think I got close to the end but couldn’t solve the "return to the start, then run toward the sky" riddle.
The art style is especially charming. I am happy every time i see a game made in PICO-8.
The only negative thing I’d say is that navigating the map can get annoying, since you have to "dial" your character’s movement like on an old phone. But this was only a problem when i tried to back-track throu' many rooms.
How to play:
- move your mouse to and look for lost kids in the dark
- press with left mouse button on kid or fuel to "collect them"
- help as many children as you can
- make sure to collect fuel once in a while as your torch is running out of gas - its light radius decreases
- currently the game is infinite and has no time goal
Enjoy :)
Thank you for the comment :D. Dwarf Fortress might be some subconscious inspiration as i have spent some time with it during childhood.
But the similarities probably come more from the fact that i haven't used any proper game engine so i skipped the animations part etc.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. I will probably polish this game a bit in the future as it deserves more love.
