So much complexity with such simple rules! It took me two tries to understand it, and three tries to really start playing, then I was hooked. So unique and an amazing use of the theme. I really hope this one gets features in Mark's video because there's so many good decisions to talk about here :D
Feels kind of like Balatro with the combos, juiciness, simple art style, while also bringing a really unique twist to classic board game tropes. I found myself really considering each move not just on a per turn scale, but on a macro scale too, thinking about where each move would put me for my next turn.
An indicator when hovering a piece with a dice to show how far it would move would be nice for avoiding mistakes and would allow a little faster play. I also found the random placement of tiles a little frustrating sometimes (I got 3 piggybanks in a row, right after the shop/home) - some hidden rules around placement could help ease this.
I love how the driving feels, really punchy and juicy with the acceleration/deceleration and zoom. I really like how the camera rotates with the player, I haven't seen that before, though it did make me a little dizzy, and I think someone with motion sickness might have a tough time with this. My recommendation would be to have longer roads and smoother turns - e.g. less 90 degrees. I think you could find a balance without ruining the cool chaotic feel of the game.
Great work!
