Hi all! I just released SaucerJam, a top-down arena shooter you play in the browser.

SaucerJam: two saucers trading laser fire in an arena

  • Any device: phone, tablet or desktop, with touch controls on phones. No download, no account.
  • Play with friends fast: open a private room, send the link, and they're in your match.
  • Quick rounds: free-for-all, 2 or 4 teams, or Core (steal the enemy core and bring it to your base).
  • Three weapons on one energy bar: a laser, a ricochet shot that bounces off walls, and a grenade you arc over cover.
  • Never an empty room: if nobody's online, labelled bots fill in, and real players take their seats as they arrive.

It's inspired by ARC (Attack, Retrieve, Capture), a game I loved and couldn't find anymore. I built it with a lot of help from AI tools (code, art and sound); the design and playtesting are mine.

Controls: WASD to move, mouse to aim, hold click or Space to fire, 1/2/3 to switch weapons. On a phone: left thumb moves, right thumb aims and fires.

Feedback is very welcome, especially on how the first minute feels. Thanks for taking a look!
