Yea we wanted to do more frequent bite sized updates at least for a little bit. Figured it would let people know that we're serious about intending to finish the game. We know there are a lot of games out there that put out a demo then stall and we don't want to be one of those.

This is another bug we haven't been able to repro, but I _think_ I've narrowed down the cause and hope the next build will be fixed. If it doesn't have the fix, the next build will at least have crash reporting so I'll be able to get a stack trace and really narrow it down.

That sucks to hear it's still having issues. It sounds like there are a few folks with Androids still reporting similar.
The next build going out will have crash reporting that will let me know when things like this are happening and hopefully it'll give me the information I need to fix it. That build won't be out for another couple weeks though.

Thanks! It took us a while to get to this point but we’ve got a lot of the engine built now and plotted out most of the Tails, story, etc so we’re hoping we’ll be moving faster now. We’re gonna try to get a new build out every month, but it’ll still probably take a while to get to a full version 1.0
Ugh, we’ve gotten reports on this before but we haven’t been able to repro on the two Android devices we have. I was hoping some of the recent optimizations fixes would have done the trick.
The black screen and dialogue is expected, that’s just the pre-scene dialogue. It seems like it’s crashing trying to load the animation of the bonding scene.
Can you tell me what device you have and what version of the OS you’re on? And this is with the most recent 0.1.5 build I assume?

When you say the first battle cutscene, you mean with the Moustera and Makout? Or do you mean bonding with Bitchon?
Can you tell me what platform this is on?
And if it's easy enough, sharing logs would help me narrow down the issue a lot. Logs can be found:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Venus Mons/Logs
Windows: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\VenusMons\log
If it's Android, it might be a bit difficult to grab.
