Hi everyone!
I’m excited to share that “You Are The Boss” is still in active development, and I’ve just released a limited web playable version right here on itch.io! Now you can try the game instantly in your browser—no download needed.
What’s new:

- Great for quick sessions and sharing with friends
Please note: The web version is limited and may not include all features or save progress between sessions. For the full experience, please try the downloadable version.
I’m looking for feedback as I continue to develop the game. Please share your thoughts, suggestions, or any issues you encounter. Your input is invaluable!
Thank you for your support!

I've finished the game, great little puzzle/horror game. It really tests your attention to detail. Hope to see more like it in the future.
I have a couple of suggestions:
Have a faint background clicking that runs in time with the Newtons Cradle and time it with the balls hitting each other, I think this could add to the atmosphere and sense of urgency.
The the Unknown character appears at the door, and asks if you have seen his Niece, the response on screen is "No, I haven't seen it.", the correct response should be "No, I haven't seen her"
apart from that, the rest of the game was wonderful. The lighting effects from the tree were outstanding and really added to the atmosphere
Hey everyone 👋
Thanks for checking out the demo and taking the time to be here.
This build is a 2-week playable demo featuring updated graphics compared to earlier versions. The main goal of this release is feedback, not polish — it’s still very much a work-in-progress prototype.
What this demo includes
-
A single 2-week slice of the game
-
Core mechanics and decision flow
-
Updated visuals (still minimal by design)
-
No sound or music yet
What I’m looking for feedback on
I’d really appreciate thoughts on:
-
🧠 Decision design – do the choices feel meaningful?
-
📅 Pacing – does the 2-week structure work?
-
🎨 Visual clarity – is everything easy to read and understand?
-
❓ Confusion points – anything unclear or frustrating?
-
💡 Overall vibe – does it make you want to keep playing?
Feel free to be blunt — constructive criticism is genuinely helpful at this stage. Even short comments or “this felt weird” reactions are useful.
Thanks again for playing and helping shape the game 🙌
I’ll be actively reading and responding here.
Step into the shoes of a company manager in “You Are The Boss”, a decision-driven office simulator prototype. In this two-week prototype, you’ll experience:
-
8 days of minor choices drawn from a pool of 8 possible events, testing your judgment and ability to keep the office running smoothly.
-
2 major choice on day 5, a pivotal decision that can dramatically impact your stats and story flags.
Strange printer malfunctions, mysterious equipment moves, staff whispers, and budget pressures will challenge your decision-making every step of the way.
Every choice directly affects profit, morale, and reputation, and your decisions carry flags that shape the story. This prototype focuses on the core decision-making loop, giving a taste of the strategic office management experience:
-
Track your stats and see the immediate consequences of your actions.
-
Explore a branching narrative shaped by your choices.
This is only the beginning — the full game aims to span a complete 52-week experience, where surviving each week will test your strategy and leadership skills to the limit.
As this is a raw prototype, it uses minimal graphics and no sound. Your feedback is invaluable — try the prototype, explore the choices, and let us know what works, what feels off, and what you’d like to see in the full 52-week game!
