we appreciate the feedback! Our choice on three save slots is something we may reconsider and expand on down the road. For the moment- we felt it encouraged players to replay and enjoy the experience all over again instead of just having a large amount of saves and exploring everything in a single play through. But we do listen to feedback and change accordingly!
Did you see this devlog we posted about saving?

Any additional information you can provide would be helpful. Which version? Which platform?
It shouldn't - which platform are you playing on? (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, SteamDeck?) We'll add in some extra testing to make sure that existing saves are preserved. The only time I can see this happening is if you're on Android and you uninstall the game before installing the latest. If you remove the game then yes - all save files will be removed with it. If you download the latest APK it should just update the existing one while preserving your saves.
Thanks for the feedback! We are definitely having a look at our save system and hope to have a much better solution for players to make saves more frequently.
For the mini games: at this time we don’t plan to implement a skip option. While the game primarily presents itself as a VN right now, we’re aiming for more of a click-and-explore type story which lends itself to more interactivity than just reading and following the story. The games and how well the player performs them will have an impact on the story.
We hope you decide to stick around and enjoy the rest of the game as it’s built, but if it’s not something that appeals to you- that’s OK too.
Wow apologies for the super late reply on this one.
Engaging Destiny takes place in a world known as Talestrios and there are a few other stories that tie into Engaging Destiny in one way or another. Endless Bounty (https://dynewulf.itch.io/endless-bounty), Tales Of Lorithel: Bonds of Royalty (https://dynewulf.itch.io/tolbor), and Eternal Endeavor (https://dynewulf.itch.io/eternal-endeavor-demo) are all set in the same universe. If you look closely enough, you might even catch some cameos from these titles in Engaging Destiny itself :)
Glad you enjoyed ED! Stay tuned to future games that take place in the same universe.
Thanks for all the wonderful feedback! Sorry to hear you were having issues with the Itch download - generally only folks going through the Itch Client application will experience issues. A direct download in your browser from the itch page should be working just fine. Anyway - glad you are enjoying it :)
Happy to hear you enjoyed the game! Sorry the ending was so unexpected, the story we wanted to tell about Calen coming to terms with himself and his feelings for Warrick was the main focus and we feel we addressed it pretty well. We haven't talked about direct sequels for Engaging Destiny but you never know what the future might hold. There will be more titles set in this world so Calen & Warrick may pop up in another entry.
Thanks for the feedback!
