i actually agree with your argument that rahi doesn't seem to know how to properly run a discord server in that case which.... is bad on its own yes, but from other posts i see about how often rahi is working i definitely think they consider the discord a secondary concern, it probably would be better ran by someone's whos a fan of the game who can dedicate their full time to it

As far as minors that sneak into the server, there's still not alot i can see that can be done, i saw in your other post you were talking about a verified/trusted role, and locking any 18+ content behind it, which i absolutely agree with, most servers that do id verification do this, any server I've attempted to make in the past had this, but again I'm in the id check crowd so thats easy... without checking ids such verification is hard, people can, and will lie about their age, and without something they can give that can directly verify it, or them being honest or having it posted somewhere else, it can be hard to tell becuase there are people underage who can act more mature than people who aren't... so I'm not sure how implementing a barrier like that would work without hard proof

Secondly to that though... is having been in alot of id verify servers means I've seen various levels of security about it, some just going dob, others doing dob and username on a piece of paper, and even the addition of the server name along with those

The most exteme case i saw, had to have all that, your state seal, face on the id, and your Face all in the same picture

And the reason that people go to all these various levels of extremes is because people have used pictures of ids that go around, use a family members, or a fully fake id to get past these checks, it's truely insane the lengths people will go to, in a server I'm currently in that keeps fully nsfw content behind a optional id verification, we had someone come in and open a ticket and ask us about if we keep the pictures of the ids to keep an eye out for them being reused by other people, when they asked id we'd start doing it, we said no, and then they said they were going to put us on blast on some bigger server for not doing that, the policing is literally insane... lol

So, I'm genuinely unsure what the best method of handling it is overall

Children who were removed from my understanding, ace really overestimates how much you can legally ask for to verify someone is 18+ on discord, you're literally only allowed to use their existing system which is are you 18 y/n

All these servers who do id verification EVEN IF IT IS ONLY DOB WITH NO OTHER INFO, **are going against tos and can get their accounts banned and servers shut down if people report them**

And I'm in that boat of id verifying, i would much rather get my account banned then face a case of soliciting porn to minors

But I'm not going to sit and villainize rahi for not being comfortable with that, rahi is dealing with it in the only way they can while remaining tos complient, this Redick that rahi is **allowing** minors needs to end, no, rahi does not condone minors being in their server and the mod team does deal with those who are found out appropriately

not true, is is their job to police in the sense that when a minor is discovered appropriate action is taken (banning the minor)

Yes... and all of that, literally all of it, is against discord TOS, and there's a huge difference between allowing minors in, and minors joining, unless rahi has said they're okay with it,  or hasn't taken action to remove the minors once they're found out, then rahi **has done nothing wrong**

Because there is a HUGE difference between "minors were found in the server" and ALLOWING minors in the server
