Nicely presented game. I'm not the target audience I think. I don't really connect with gambling/luck adjacent stuff (which is probably in the minority) but it was nice to take a look. Kept me clicking longer than I expected. Maybe a few more sfx for win/lose. Overall its a nicely presented game.

Very enjoyable game. Initially I couldn't remember which key was which when the hints were lost in the zoom but that may well be intentional to encourage failing hard and eventually building some muscle memory. The keys are noted throughout the game and do reappear every time your not in task. Impressive cut scenes and art throughout and a coherent graphic design. Music and use of sound good. Also, good use of 3rd party assets with accreditation. Played till completion. Impressive solo effort and all round fantastic entry!
Solidly executed concept totally on point for theme. Very fun game. Tutorial does a great job guiding you through what would have otherwise a real challenge to grasp. Good vibes and humour. Could be a bit more work on things like menu sfx and some further UI polish. But things work pretty well with the aesthetics and it looks like time has been spent in the right place getting the core stuff working well. Feels like a coherent and considered world that invites you in with a nod and a wink. Great stuff!
Hi! Thanks for the excellent feedback, very constructive and useful. Don't really disagree. I think it got a bit overambitious for the time I managed to find during the Jam in the end and suffered in the ways you're picking up on. It was my first Godot game so maybe a simpler game with a less unique custom UI would have saved a lot of time. I think I thought the UI would keep it simple just being key presses then got a bit carried away and the low res was a challenge that I probably would have been wiser to avoid. Thank you so very much for the feedback!
Kept me playing for a bit but I couldn't help cheating by just standing on the central spinner. I think it tries to throw you off but it doesn't seem to do so effectively if you just stand in the middle. Could do with some more sound effects and music and a bit more finesse but it's a novel mechanic executed in a coherent way that kept me engaged for a time. Thanks!
Very nice. Like the blade mechanic. I'd agree it feels like the movement is such that it feels like I needed to over-correct quite a bit, but at the same time I do love that it is very fast. Couldn't see the benefit of having to press E for a long time rather than just having an end level trigger unless fighting around the lift is a common occurrence and the long time means people have to commit to it bit this didn't really seem to be my experience. The graphics and music are great. I think most people source music from elsewhere. If it was done for the game that would be fantastic. No credits of any kind so the suggestion is everything is 100% original so, well done!
I found the previous comment a little baffling. To the degree I assume I'm missing something. Like this is a well known template or something and you've literally done nothing. I don't know that so I'll assume its not a template and it's mostly your own work. If so then the skills used seem pretty competent to me .Modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting. I'd be pretty happy with it. I would probably assume you got the music from somewhere which would be perfectly fine. Lacks menus and finesse stuff but if you did most of what's seen it's a great effort! As an entry I'd say the base game is very decent and something to be proud of! Well done!
Great Intro. Nice pixel art and music was notably good. Feels very competent. I wasn't sure if there would be an end. The UI is good at giving you some useful info but I still felt I wasn't sure of my direction. A few short lines of text on how things are going to progress as you enter the main UI maybe? I might have missed something the text said in the nice intro though. Very nice!
Thanks for some detailed feedback. I think your right on all your points really. Coordinates and map need some rework yeah, only got to that bit quite late. I think I aimed a little too high for the amount of work required to bring it all together in the time I could find. First Godot game so ended up a bit rough but hopefully there's something to get a feel for in the pain! Thanks!
Very enjoyable. Very well done. Hard to suggest any improvements of any importance. It was possible to beat without mutating but that might be intentional. I too probably got a bit far before I realised the there were extra keys/abilities. The pot guy that subtly encourages you to pound is quite far in and I missed him first time though I nearly headed his way but wanted to beat my progress up the tower so I went back to him after finishing. I think my favourite bit is the animation and the general solid environment. Nice shading, lighting and effects.
I liked the visuals a lot. The mechanic was interesting and on theme so points for that but had potential for more exploration as was said. The blocks and connecting string could make better use of 3D space by moving the blocks or string up or down a little so one blocks the other and producing a problem that needs to be solved (a puzzle). Attractive game.
