I'll have to revisit this one when I have more time to play it. I love the story elements, and decision making mechanic. The art is fantastic! Not sure why there is a jump button, but the portion of the game I played was enjoyable. The walking part of the game could be left out I think. You could make it more like the Oregon Trail by having the player walk the entire time and get stopped by the Narrator. Great job!

There are a lot of tiny details in the art that are AWESOME once I finally noticed. Really enjoyed the dungeon crawl aspect of the game. It just needs work in the audio and art implementation department. Great job overall!

This one has a very intuitive design and the game gets progressively harder.  This is the perfect example of how to match scope with originality. Great job!

This has a really interesting style. At first I thought it was going to be like a visual novel until the swan started swimming. That was an amazing surprise. Good sound effects as well. Great Job!

Nice! Try our game,  Folk Trails!

The game play is really great! I had trouble with the controls at first. I would change the hitch a ride function from the switch key to the W key since the S key is to drop off. Great job!

It's really good! The only problem is that it was too short.

Nice and challenging little platformer.  The animations are really nice! I would add more visual effects in the engine and fix the foot step sound. It's faster than the animation. Great work overall.

I really liked this game's vibe, but the controls were a little wonky, and the collisions sent my bird spinning. I really love the idea of a bird migration game. Keep working on it!

Very interesting, but instructions are needed to understand the goal of the game. I see the lose condition is when the timer runs out. I think the room selector needs to be closer to the map for that reason.

We have found our audience!

Thank you for playing and giving your feedback.

Your comment related to visual feedback resonates and I believe it is being considered by our UI Designer.

I also encourage to go back and play again because selecting a hero every turn  isn't required and you can technically run the whole game using one hero.

You either team up with a 2D artist or commit to a very simple art style. Basic shapes if you're wanting vector art. Atari 2600 style sprites if you are doing pixel. I'm not telling you what to do, just what I would do.

Hello.

I'm looking for a team for the upcoming jam. This will be the 4th Godot Wild Jam I've participated in. I'm looking for a team with equivalent or more experience with game jams. Here is what I can offer your team.

Yeah. With three maces, it's pretty ridiculous. Thank you for playing.

That was an easy fix. I forgot to check enable full screen in the game settings. Thank you for playing and giving us your feedback.

Thank  you for the suggestion. I definitely agree with adding new enemy types or changing enemy and weapon attributes would be a better balance for performance and difficulty rather than just increasing the enemy count. Thanks for playing!

I’m still looking for a team that needs music and sound effects.

Hi!

I'm an experienced composer for games. I've done music and technical sound design on many different game jam projects in the past 5 years. I would love to get on an experienced team to see what we could create. Here are some examples of my work.....

I’ll be sure to check them out! Honestly, for jams it’s more about learning and having fun. ‘Stupid’ games are sometimes the best way to do that! And sometimes you have an idea that becomes a popular mechanic. Like cookie clicker….

Thanks! I'm still looking for a team to be on.

Hi, I'm a sound and music guy that knows Godot looking for a team as well. If you want, we can team up and find an artist for the jam.

Here is the post I just made.

Hi. My name is Morgan Dillon Crow.

I'm a technical composer itching to make some music for that game you're working on.
Take some time to listen to the demos below.
Not your thing? That's ok.
However, if it's JUST the music you've been looking for, do the following:

  • Slide into my inbox to just say 'hey" or "let's work together." My email is morgan@mdcrow.com.
  • Talk to me about your game, expectations, Timeline/ETA, etc...
  • Talk to me about your budget (would be cool to get paid or whatever)
  • Sleep at night knowing that your game's music is in good hands

Alright! Here's my demo: SOUNDCLOUD DEMO

Talk to you soon!

Hey everyone!

The Septagon Game Jam #2 is coming up on September 20–28, 2025 over on itch.io

The challenge is simple but fun:
👉 Everything in your game — characters, props, backgrounds — has to be made out of septagons (seven-sided shapes).

You can use any engine you want, work solo or in a team, and at the end we’ll vote on each other’s games based on fun, creativity, design, and more.

This jam is all about creativity, meeting other devs, and making something cool in just a week. No prizes — just bragging rights and good vibes.

If you’re interested, check out the jam page and hop on the Discord to connect with others. Hope to see your game there!

I want to keep playing it, but I needed to get off to give it a rating. Much like your entry in Jan.Jam, this is so professional and well done, I can't believe it was made in only 2 weeks. You had my attention at the first voice over.  I also found myself playing with the UI menus that you clearly put some thought and effort toward. I had trouble with the wall jumps, but I always do in first person parkour games where you can't  really change camera zoom levels. I kinda figured I would like this one while following your development in the Discord, and it didn't disappoint. I can't wait to play it some more with the new level you've been working on. Great work!

After the voting ends, we would still love to try this one out. I'm sorry that you ran into so many problems during the jam. If the native ports work, could you upload those too? The game looked really interesting, and it would be a good one to finish.

Wow! You really have a nice base here. What I see is a finished product  actually. And now you could even expand on it. Take 2 more weeks and add an environment, 2 more mechanics, and 3 more enemy types. Or more gameplay modes even (a 2 player versus mode perhaps?). Nicely done!

The visuals are disturbing...

The music is maddening...You're definitely on to something here.

If you created a map the player could move around in, I would love to play it.

My only critique is that the game lacks UI elements to show my health and whether or not my hits are effective.

A very unique entry overall.

What happens when you cross all of the arcade greatest hits and pair it with a Mario Kart style soundtrack and N64 style graphics? Well, you get "BallGame." Amazing and fun to play! It's great that it plays in a browser. I can't really say much else. A future version should include some Tetris elements.

I really like the idea of this game. I got some seeds planted...I think. The guardian's hints were blank. So, I didn't really know what I should be planting. The visuals are very Atari-esque (not a bad thing), and music has a nice cave vibe. Not what I was expecting from a farming game. I'm excited to see the future improvements you make to the game! It has a lot of potential.

Nice little puzzle platformer! I really enjoyed playing it. The graphics aren't the prettiest to look at. The music is simple, but effective to the tone of the game. I would have gone with solid colored platforms instead of a checked pattern, but that might just be a personal choice. There are a few things that would make the presentation better. Making sure your game's executable is identifiable is one. There's also a bug when you hit a platform with your head in the game. I had to restart the  whole game because I was stuck to a platform. A pause menu would've been super helpful in order to restart a level when that happens. Overall, I thought the level design was solid! The switching mechanic is seamless with the jump controls. The Z-key works really well for switching. Anyways, I really enjoyed playing it, and I hope to explore the game a little more when I have time to do so.

I really tried to play this game. I was impressed that it runs in command prompt (and it uses FMOD!), but the window is completely blank. I can hear the sound though. I tried different things like launching the game's exe normally, running the bat file as Admin. I even tried to launch it through PowerShell in Admin mode.

I still wanted to rate the game though. The music/sound effects seem to be the only thing that works in the game. Everything sounds awesome. The graphics of the game from the screen shots look very well done. I looked through the included instructions booklet (which helps with presentation), and it seems to have a strong sense of design. However, the presentation is brought down by the fact that I cannot launch the game. If this was brought to my attention earlier in the week, you could have fixed it and reuploaded it (since it's a game breaking bug). I digress, thank you for submitting, and I do hope you fix the game and reupload it in the near future.

Cheers.

The 1-2-3-Scope Game Jam is officially underway!

The optional theme is…

‘In the deep…’

It’s not too late to join. 71 already have.

Yes! Sorry! The theme is ‘In the deep…’ I forgot to post it on the jam page.

The theme is completely optional.
