Hey Hilary ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you for sharing your background.

Your experience with level design, world-building, narrative design, and gameplay systems sounds really interesting.

Iโ€™d love to learn a little more about your work.

Have you worked on any completed projects, game prototypes, maps, level designs, or personal projects that youโ€™d be willing to share? Iโ€™d be interested in seeing some examples of your work and creative process. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

Thank you for letting me know.

At the moment, we are mainly looking for artists who can directly contribute to the project. However, if your VFX artist contact has experience with Unity game VFX (particles, magic effects, combat effects, etc.), feel free to introduce them.

Also, could you briefly tell me about your own specialization and the type of work you would be interested in contributing to?

No problem ๐Ÿ˜Š

Take your time.

Whenever youโ€™re free, feel free to share them. Iโ€™d be happy to take a look at your projects and learn more about your experience.

Good luck with school, and Iโ€™ll look forward to seeing your work later. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

Hey! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you for the detailed introduction.

Iโ€™d love to see some of your work. Could you share screenshots, videos, or examples of the projects youโ€™ve built so far?

Iโ€™m especially interested in seeing the gameplay systems youโ€™ve worked on and how you approached them. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

๐ŸŽฎ Looking for Passionate Developers, Artists & Dreamers ๐Ÿš€

Most teams start with a game.

Weโ€™re building something bigger: a team where people can learn, grow, share knowledge, and create amazing projects together.

Our current focus includes indie game development, original gameplay ideas, unique worlds, creatures, weapons, and systems. We believe the best way to learn game development is by actually building games and helping each other improve.

Weโ€™re looking for:

โœ… Programmers (Unity/C#)

โœ… Game Designers

โœ… 2D/3D Artists

โœ… Writers & Story Creators

โœ… Testers

โœ… Anyone passionate about game development

What youโ€™ll get:

๐Ÿš€ Real project experience

๐Ÿš€ A friendly and supportive team

๐Ÿš€ Opportunities to learn and improve

๐Ÿš€ A chance to contribute your own ideas

๐Ÿš€ Experience working with other developers

You donโ€™t need to be an expert. Passion, dedication, creativity, and willingness to learn are far more important.

If youโ€™re interested, join our Discord server and introduce yourself!

Hey! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for the introduction.

You mentioned that youโ€™re mainly interested in programming and gameplay development, which is great.

Iโ€™d love to know a little more about your Unity experience.

Have you completed any games or projects that youโ€™re particularly proud of? If so, could you tell me about them or share some screenshots/videos?

Iโ€™d also be interested to know what kinds of gameplay systems youโ€™ve worked on before. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

Hey Lexi ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for sharing your portfolio! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have a quick question.

Iโ€™m currently building a small indie game development team, and weโ€™re looking for artists who are interested in collaborating on game projects.

Would you be interested in working with the team? If so, Iโ€™d be happy to tell you more about the project. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

Hey Lexi ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for sharing your portfolio!

Iโ€™ve taken a look at your work and I really like your art style. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™m currently building a small indie game development team, and weโ€™re looking for creative artists who enjoy collaborating on game projects.

Would you be interested in hearing a bit more about the project? ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thanks for reaching out!

I just have a quick question:

Do you have any experience creating VFX for games? Things like particle effects, magic effects, weapon effects, hit effects, explosions, shaders, or other visual effects.

Looking forward to hearing from you! ๐Ÿš€

Hi Hilary ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thanks for your interest!

Before I tell you more about the team and our plans, I wanted to ask a quick question:

Do you have any experience creating VFX for games? For example, particle effects, magic effects, weapon effects, explosions, or other visual effects.

Looking forward to hearing from you! ๐Ÿš€

Hey! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I really like your work and wanted to ask a quick question.

Do you have any experience creating VFX for games (particle effects, magic effects, weapon effects, explosions, etc.)?

Weโ€™re currently building a game jam team, and VFX skills would be very valuable for the project.

Looking forward to hearing from you! ๐Ÿš€

Hello William ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in joining our team.

Your voice acting experience sounds impressive, and weโ€™d love to learn more about you.

Weโ€™re currently building a small indie game development team called Void Forge and are looking for passionate people who enjoy collaborating on creative projects.

If youโ€™re still interested, Iโ€™d be happy to continue the conversation and tell you more about our team and project.

Looking forward to hearing from you! ๐Ÿš€

Hey Ren ๐Ÿ‘‹

I hope youโ€™re doing well.

I just wanted to check in because I havenโ€™t heard back from you for a few days.

You should have received an email invitation to the Void Forge Team group, where several team members have already joined and started discussing ideas and project planning.

When you have a moment, please let us know if youโ€™re still interested in joining the team. If so, weโ€™d love to have you with us and would appreciate it if you could join the group and participate in the discussions.

Communication is very important for team projects, so a quick reply would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing from you ๐Ÿš€

Hey Furqat ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™ve just sent you an email.

When you have a moment, please check your inbox so we can continue moving forward with the team planning and discussion ๐Ÿš€

Looking forward to hearing from you soon ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey Furqat ๐Ÿ‘‹

Thank you for the update.

Iโ€™m glad to hear that youโ€™re serious about joining the team and available for the upcoming game jam ๐Ÿš€

Welcome to Void Forge!

For now weโ€™re still organizing the team, discussing ideas, and identifying everyoneโ€™s strengths so we can assign roles effectively.

Iโ€™ll be sending more information and tasks soon as we move into the planning phase ๐Ÿ‘€

Looking forward to working with you and building something awesome together ๐Ÿš€

I already sent you the email/message ๐Ÿ‘€

Please check your inbox whenever you get time so we can continue discussing the team/project properly there ๐Ÿš€

Also ๐Ÿ‘€

If youโ€™re seriously interested in joining the team/project, feel free to send your email so we can continue discussing things there more comfortably ๐Ÿš€

Right now the core team is almost finalized, so if youโ€™d like to join, it would honestly be good to move a bit faster while weโ€™re still organizing the remaining members ๐Ÿ‘€

And where are you from?

Also ๐Ÿ‘€

Could you send me:

  • your preferred username/name
  • and your email?

Right now the team is slowly growing and we currently have around 3โ€“4 members organizing things together ๐Ÿš€

And honestly, if youโ€™re interested in joining, it would be great to move a bit faster while the core team structure is still forming ๐Ÿ‘€

Also one important thing: have you already joined another game jam team/project, or are you mainly available for this one?

Once I have your email, itโ€™ll be much easier for us to discuss workflow/planning properly there ๐Ÿš€

Also one more thing ๐Ÿ‘€

What name would you prefer the team to call you by?

Your real name, nickname, username, or something else? ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

Honestly, your experience/workflow sounds really interesting ๐Ÿ‘€

The fact that youโ€™ve worked across:

  • level design
  • narrative
  • art
  • music
  • and project direction

makes you seem like a really versatile indie developer, which is honestly very valuable for smaller focused game jam teams ๐Ÿš€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small collaborative indie team/project under VoidForge Studios, and Iโ€™d definitely be interested in discussing ideas/workflow further.

You can absolutely share your contact information if youโ€™d like ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey Ren ๐Ÿ‘‹

Just wanted to let you know that I recently sent you an email/message regarding the team/project and possible collaboration ๐Ÿ‘€

Whenever you get time, please check it out.

Looking forward to hearing back from you ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

I honestly like your mindset and approach toward collaboration/learning ๐Ÿ‘€

The fact that youโ€™re already working with:

  • Unity
  • both 2D/3D
  • C#
  • and experimenting with AI interests

is honestly a pretty strong starting point for a first game jam ๐Ÿš€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small focused indie team for upcoming projects/game jams, and we already have a few members slowly joining for different roles.

Iโ€™m mainly trying to keep the team:

  • collaborative
  • active
  • realistic in scope
  • and focused on actually finishing/polishing projects instead of making something too huge ๐Ÿ‘€

Would definitely be interested in learning a bit more about your experience/workflow and what kind of gameplay/programming work you personally enjoy most ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

I honestly think your skill combination stands out a lot compared to many other posts here ๐Ÿ‘€

The fact that you work with:

  • game design
  • level design
  • UI/UX
  • implementation
  • and sound integration

makes you seem like a really versatile indie developer, which is honestly very valuable for smaller focused teams ๐Ÿš€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small indie game team for upcoming projects/game jams, and I think someone with your workflow/experience could potentially fit really well depending on the final direction of the project.

At the moment the team is still small and organized carefully because Iโ€™m trying to build a focused collaborative group instead of a huge random team ๐Ÿ‘€

Would definitely be interested in discussing possible collaboration further if youโ€™d be open to it ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

I honestly like your mindset and art direction/style description already ๐Ÿ‘€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small indie game team for upcoming game jam projects, and we may potentially need:

  • 2D art
  • character concepts
  • UI elements
  • cozy/environment visuals
  • and general visual polishing depending on the final game direction ๐Ÿš€

Since this is your first jam, no pressure at all โ€” Iโ€™m mainly looking for active people who enjoy learning, collaborating, and improving together.

If youโ€™re comfortable, Iโ€™d also love to see some of your artwork/portfolio whenever you have time ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

Honestly, I really respect your approach and mindset toward game development/community building.

I like the fact that youโ€™re focused on:

  • learning together
  • teamwork
  • sharing experience
  • and helping newer developers improve instead of trying to act overly professional ๐Ÿ‘€

Right now Iโ€™m also building a small indie team/project and trying to learn/improve through real collaboration and game jam experience.

Your community/team approach honestly seems very positive and motivating ๐Ÿš€

I tested the game and honestly I think the core idea has potential ๐Ÿ‘€

But I noticed a few important things that could improve the overall player experience a lot:

  • The purple menu background doesnโ€™t really fit the space atmosphere and feels visually weak.
  • The UI/button shapes also feel a bit too basic right now.
  • When the game starts, I think the spaceship should begin slightly lower/further back so the screen composition feels cleaner.
  • The shooting would feel much better if the ship fired automatically instead of pressing a key repeatedly.
  • Enemies should also shoot back to make gameplay feel more alive and challenging.
  • Right now the scoring feels too high too quickly. Instead of +100 score per enemy, something like +10 would feel cleaner/balanced.
  • Health/damage values also feel a bit too large. Smaller values like 5 or 10 damage would probably improve readability/game feel.

Overall though, the foundation is there ๐Ÿ‘€ It mainly needs:

  • stronger atmosphere
  • cleaner UI
  • better balancing
  • and more satisfying gameplay feedback ๐Ÿš€

we use gmail, no problem

Also sorry ๐Ÿ˜…

Earlier I mentioned continuing mainly through email, but now the team is slowly growing to around 5โ€“6 members, so Iโ€™ll probably need to organize a proper group for easier communication/workflow.

Because of that, WhatsApp would honestly be much easier for:

  • team coordination
  • updates
  • planning
  • screenshots/files
  • and fast communication ๐Ÿš€

So if possible, please download WhatsApp and send me your number when you can ๐Ÿ‘€

Would you be comfortable downloading WhatsApp as well? ๐Ÿ‘€

I think it would make communication, workflow discussion, updates, and team coordination much easier and faster for the project ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘€

Quick question โ€” do you also know how to create/build VFX?

Right now my team is still looking for one member mainly focused on:

  • VFX
  • particles
  • impact effects
  • atmosphere polish
  • visual/game feel improvements ๐Ÿš€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

I noticed youโ€™ve been pretty active around different game jam/community team posts and seem interested in collaboration/team building ๐Ÿ‘€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small focused indie team/studio called VoidForge Studios.

The current focus is:

  • polished gameplay
  • atmosphere/immersion
  • realistic scope
  • teamwork/workflow
  • and long-term growth instead of random unfinished projects ๐Ÿš€

I also saw that you mentioned design/team collaboration before, so I wanted to ask:

  • what kind of design work do you usually focus on?
  • gameplay design?
  • level design?
  • UI?
  • project direction?
  • or something else?

Would love to know more about your experience/workflow ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹

I checked out your projects/gameplay and honestly I like the fact that you actively experiment with ideas and keep building different kinds of games ๐Ÿ‘€

Right now Iโ€™m building a small focused indie team/studio called VoidForge Studios for game jams and future projects.

The main focus is:

  • polished gameplay
  • atmosphere
  • realistic scope
  • strong teamwork/workflow
  • and actually finishing projects instead of abandoning them halfway ๐Ÿš€

Iโ€™m currently looking for active people who enjoy building/testing ideas and contributing to gameplay/project development.

If youโ€™re interested, Iโ€™d be open to discussing possible collaboration/teamwork further ๐Ÿ‘€

Hey Devin ๐Ÿ‘‹

Your voice work and overall presentation honestly stand out a lot compared to most VA posts Iโ€™ve seen so far.

Right now Iโ€™m building a small focused indie team/studio called VoidForge Studios for upcoming game jam projects, and we may potentially need:

  • narration
  • NPC dialogue
  • atmospheric voice work
  • creature/effect sounds
  • and immersive audio elements depending on the final direction/theme ๐Ÿ‘€

The project scope is being kept realistic and polished, with a strong focus on atmosphere and immersion rather than massive scope.

Iโ€™d definitely be interested in discussing possible collaboration/workflow further if youโ€™re open to it ๐Ÿš€

where are you from?
