I love a good card game, and the sinister Joker concept is great. That said, I wish I had more agency when it came to the Joker consuming me. If I happened to collect the wrong cards, I was basically doomed. Maybe consider leaning more into Solitaire rules, like allowing movement over card stacks between slots? I liked that I could add cards in ascending and descending order.

I applaud you for a full game loop! Liked the upgrades. However, I don't know why I lost. I picked up all the cheese there is and gave it to the king. I ate some myself to stay alive. But when I went back to the bed it said "lose".

omg, this is amazing! Thank you

If you can't move anymore you probably either have already moved this round or your move speed is zero (which can happen with the tent item card). Hovering over your explorer card will show you your stats. But it could definitely be communicated better. Thanks for taking the time to play :)

thanks for playing :) I agree with the automatic card raw idea. And I'm thinking about allowing 3 actions of any type: Like draw 2 cards and move once. Or move twice and then attack.

I can't run this on my Mac, it's blocked. I did the workaround but the game does not expand with the window size so I couldn't read anything. Game looks interesting and I was looking forward to playing because I also did a card game for this jam with a similar title :D Wish there was a browser export.

you‘re fully armed guy killing animals on a jungle exploration. Sounds pretty bad to me :D

I had a placeholder AI background during development. But I didn’t get around to drawing a real one

Thank you for playing. You were playing a ranged weapon that can only attack ranged and not in melee range. So enemies in range 1 won‘t get attacked.  It’s not intuitive, and was maybe a bad idea, when I think about it

omg, how cool is the pixel art?!

The idea of switching forms is cool. I can imagine a full game where you have to switch to Alien form to get to humanly impossible places and switching to human form when you need to be unnoticed, like getting past a suspecting FBI agent.

haha, I love the tentacles and sound they make! hitting W to jump was a little counter intuitive for me. But this was a cool twist on jump and runs.

really cool puzzle game. Pretty tough, as well.

I find your pixel art really cute.

Thank you so much. This is valuable feedback. The explorer is a bald, white dude on a killing spree in the jungle (We're The Baddies), so I didn't want to incentivize killing even more, so it stays kind of a moral decision. But for a real game, this would be a must. I also planned on having a "Shop" where you could combine duplicate cards into a single, stronger one or sell duplicates for more valuable cards.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree, maybe being able to choose any combination of 3 actions would make it less frustrating. You could move twice and draw a card. Or draw 3 cards.

thanks for your feedback. It's really valuable <3

One of my favorites so far! The anchor mechanic worked incredibly well, very polished.

The bubbly sound the dice make is so juicy! Loved the core game mechanic.

Did I die exactly at 100%? :D I kept playing this longer than I initially wanted to. I loved the pixel art characters and the whimsical speech bubble texts. I send a bunch of them into battle without buying anything to maximize my gold. But my super strong character met their match as well.

Cool idea. I wish there was more to explore, more choices to make. You had me hooked! Who goes to a funeral in the night until midnight, though? Is this a thing? :D

How do I move? Nothing I click does anything

I see potential. I liked the grid based movement and the random effects. But it was all a bit too slow for me.

The word Chromaguin is stuck in my head now, haha. Cute game. It took me one try to find them all.

I love a good logic game. But "No one responds my call" on the Receiver. How do I get the game to start?

Wow, that's my favorite one I played so far! It's got so much character and charme. I can totally see it as a full WarioWare type game with an interwoven story.

The art style looks so polished, I love it. I had fun playing. But I mysteriously died before my oxygen ran out? Are those glittering white pixels dangerous?

Nice game! really sucked me in. Made is to 10.699 $ and Level 30

I couldn't figure out how to use the Rewards or what they would do.

I like a good deduction game. The dialogue was witty. But somehow I managed to pick the right team intuitively after talking to everyone. Maybe I was lucky, maybe the puzzle isn't very hard.

Reminded me of Slender Man. I didn't know how to get away from the gorilla, though. It found me even if I spotted it first and turned in another direction. And I didn't find any artifacts.

The atmosphere was really great. The music and uncertainty of the expedition really made me feel alone. When the rain started and the ship vanished from view I didn't know if I was still going in the right direction, not much was happening at first. But then I saw the icebergs and shorty after the lighthouse! Neat resolution, well done

Your story is really intriguing! I loved the graphics and atmosphere.

A loved the art style. Fun gameplay also. I wasn't sure if my wild clicking actually helped pulling the leash, though.

I loved the vibe. Reminded me of the old Myst games or the indie game Locator. I had a hard time figuring out what to do before the time runs out. I might try again later.

edit: Just realized I don't have to turn on the light right away. Then I have all the time in the world to study the notebook

Nice, that kept me interested for a while. Neat idea.  But I think I encountered some bugs. Like after the I upgraded my fleets I could never upgrade again although I had the funds. And the Ui seems a little broken.

For a game like this the controls must feel intuitive and smooth - and you nailed it!

I was blown away be the graphics and audio. The way the card effects play out is really satisfying. For my myopic eyes the font size of the explanations of the cards were too small, though. And because of the real chaos of the game I was too anxious to pause and read them. So I just spammed effects which was fun but I couldn't form any strategy.

This looks so polished! I love the design, the color palette and the juiciness of it all.

I loved the audio change right before dying. The music in general was great. But I couldn't figure out which shapes were upgrades (apart from the green plus) and which ones enemies.
