Inspired from the campy 1982 Canadian horror movie, 'Humongous'.  You play the main character within this story based, fully graphical, full audio, deeply subversive point and click adventure.

After washing up onto an abandoned and deserted island, you and your six friends soon discover you are not alone as the single island occupant is not welcoming to visitors.  Solve puzzles, discover clues, and play along an imbedded storyline.   Your goal is simply to survive long enough for rescue.

This game took 2 1/2 years to write.  It's been a labor of love, but more so a challenge to myself to see if I could write a passible graphic/mouse driven game.  Well, I did, and it turned out becoming something much better than ever intended, or expected.

This game follows the spirit of the text adventure style games, however it is 100% mouse driven.  Commands are available to click on rather than have to type, as are all objects.  Give this game a worthwhile chance.  I'll bet you'll enjoy it as much as I had fun writing it.

Ok..

How?

Addictive, fun-to-solve audio/visual text adventure game .   Dark, moody, and atmospheric.  Lots of clues, puzzles, and riddles.  Tons of eye candy, haunting sounds and jump scares.  Old-school text adventure with a simple, intuitive parser.  If you're even mildly into text adventures, turn up the volume and check this one out.

You've ran out of gas and stumble upon (you guessed it) a haunted house.  All you were looking for was some gas, but then ...

I've tested this sucker in and out and believe I've got it fully debugged.  However, if you come across a bug in the game I'd sure appreciate it if you'd let me know.  This is more or less version 1 of the release so I anticipate some fixes here and there until I send up an updated version.  But at the moment I'll say it's rock solid and runs plenty stable.

Limited to Widows 10 & 11.  Untested on Windows 7.  Working on porting to Mac.

I used DOSBOX to run a 32bit version of QB, but the game wouldn't load ("Out of memory")  I suspect due to its size and memory requirements it would burp on a 32bit system.  Surprising for a program written in QB64 (it should be no problem for a 32bit machine to run) but so far I've had no luck in getting it to run under 32bit.

Do you not have a 64bit machine?

If not, it may be time :)

Could be it was written in QB64 (64bit) which may not play well on a 32 bit machine.

OMG.  Just now seeing this.  Feel free to email me anytime.  shpank69@gmail.com
