Devlog #2 — March 2026
Polish, fixes & what comes next
A look at everything we've been working on since the demo launched.
Thank you
First things first — a massive thank you to everyone who played the demo and took the time to send feedback. Seeing people actually experience the game has been incredibly motivating for the whole team. We read every comment and every piece of criticism, and it directly shapes what we work on next.

Audio
One of the bigger additions in this update is proper audio for the doors. Opening and closing now each have their own sound, and there's a distinct heavy slam for scripted moments. Small detail, but it adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Visuals & lighting
We did a full pass on environment illumination across both chapters. The flashlight now behaves more consistently with global lighting, and several visual bugs were squashed along the way:
Fixed a green floor artifact in chapter 1
Fixed the window frame rendering issue
Improved PSX-style colour grading
Made the sandpaper object more readable in the scene
Camera shake is now properly tuned
Gameplay & interactions
Several interaction bugs were fixed, including issues with the fuse and drawer. We also added validation so dialogues can't be retriggered mid-playback, and interactions are now properly blocked while a dialogue is running. The typewriter effect on dialogue text is also noticeably faster now.
Feel & movement
The footstep system was fully reworked — footstep audio now responds more accurately to surfaces and movement state. We also added proper PS1 controller support for those playing on gamepad.
We're currently analysing the game's analytics from the demo — looking at where players get stuck, what they interact with, and where they drop off. This is helping us make smarter decisions about pacing and design going forward.
We've also started work on the upcoming chapters. We can't share too much yet, but the story is moving and we're excited about where it's going.
Any kind of feedback is genuinely welcome — bugs, opinions, vibes, whatever. Drop a comment here or reach out directly. Every bit of input helps us make this game better. Thanks for being part of it. 🖤
