Sure thing! And that dummy ghost ability sounds awesome! That would definitely be a good one to add for sure!

Great job finishing your game! I really loved how you stuck with the theme! I did have occasional issues with the camera bugging out a little, but aside from that the game ran good! I wasn't super big on the one jump scare, but I did really love the creepy atmospheric stuff happening around me leading up to that, especially how all of the jack-o'-lanterns always turn to keep their eyes on the player no matter where you move. Also, hearing the footsteps out in the woods behind the first house and seeing the person vanish into the trees gave me chills, very well done! I would have liked to have seen more gameplay based around the trick or treating, but otherwise I enjoyed the creepy vibes, well done!
First off, great job finishing your game! I think the movement mechanics were very creative, and the fact that you have to both avoid the enemies and your own bullets is very interesting. I'm sure you may not have had time to add it in yet, but some nice maybe 8-bit background music would be a nice touch to this style of game. I do think that it would be really cool to add item drops when you kill enemies, like things such as healing items that restore some of the player health, and maybe an item that gives the player a shield bubble that absorbs one hit of damage before popping. Enemy variety would be really cool too, like maybe adding an enemy that only moves via teleporting from one spot to another? Could be something cool to look into. Otherwise, you've got a good start to your game so far, well done!
Hey, great job finishing your game! I finally got around to playing it! It was overall very fun and had a nice challenge to it. I like how you stuck with the theme and I definitely had to be mindful of my placement anytime the tv countdown popped up. Perhaps instead of having the enemies field of view be a radius around them, you could do cone vision in front of them, similar to the early Metal Gear Solid games which have a similar stealth system. You could also add another ghost ability to sort of pulse out a wave of ghostly energy that might highlight enemies outside of view? Those were some neat ideas that came to mind while playing it, but otherwise the stealth gameplay reminds me of the first couple of Metal Gear games which was very nostalgic! Great Job!
Thank you for the feedback! I had considered going back and reworking the earlier levels to do something more like the final one, but unfortunately did not have enough time lol As far as the last level, it actually was intended. That was my way of using the optional theme of taking a mechanic that's meant to help the player and turning it against them at some point. Had you landed on the red lit landing pad it would have blown you up instead. I probably should have made that one closer to the player and easier to get to, since it is possible to just accidentally hit the green candle skull and win the level 😅 Thank you again for taking the time to play my game and provide good feedback! I really appreciate it 😁
Just wanted to update here as well, I do have my game playable in browser now! I know the jam is over, but if anyone is interested, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! I also posted a dev log giving more details on my game's page if anyone is curious. I hope everyone had a blast with this game jam, I know I did!
Sorry, I didn't see your comment, it's been a crazy week for me lol Otherwise I would have taken you up on your offer! Now that the jam is complete, I'm going to see about getting all of the correct game files added so it can be played. At least now I know for next jam! I still had a blast with this first jam and am glad I got to be a part of it :D
