This was such a fun play, the art/gui is phenomenal and it was so much fun, fr 🎉  Also it's the first game I've tried to run where the web version didn't bug out on my mac (ours included) so that's also terrific.

Did I stay up until 4am to play every single route? Yessiree.

SO, first off, GUI slaps and the little animations are giving me LIFE, I legit want to sit down with y'all and have you walk me through them because they're SUPERB.

To me music usually goes in one ear, out another but the soundtrack for this is something else. The TENSION you guys, it's magnificent 😍 It rang deep in my stomach and chest and kept me on edge the entire time.

I went for Micah first because he's a sweet cinnamon roll baby boy who deserves EVERYTHINF and that bad end walloped me HARD, I wasn't prepared. I had to  take a deep breath and cuddle my cat for a hot second because wow oh wow. Ngl I'm a sucker for bad endings and I usually try getting them first and this did not disappoint.

Then it was Aurel and jfc I love the man with a goddamned passion, I'd marry the shit out of him. The fact that he's a nerd only makes me love him more. Honestly he just made me feel very, very safe in pretty much every route - love me a man who can Latin his way out of a sticky contract.

Fhdhdjs falling into Lark's arms and the whole subsequent scene legit had my heart hammering HARD. The entire route was... Beautifully written and the bad end was gorgeous in the best-worst possible way. Same for the good end (but again, sucker for those bad endings and this game had the BEST bad endings I've seen in a good while).

Honestly, guys, this is an IMPECCABLE game. It's short, sweet, really well-written, the art is lovely, the music fucks and I'm just... The vibes you guys, the ✨vibes✨ are immaculate. Knife's edge between cosy and uncomfortable, borderline scary sometimes but never scary enough that I felt the need to close my computer and go hide in bed like the chicken I am. 

It was just the RIGHT amount of scary and just the right amount of sweet and bitter and salty and I love that I got to play it.

edit: I'd advise adding a rate button to the page, just so it's easier for people to leave one - the button on the side is sneaky and it doesn't show up in mobile so if you're me and it's 5am and you're writing this in bed, you need to come back down and actually rate the thing on your laptop 😅

Omg I love you guys so much for playing thisss 🥹 I wrote Viriam's route so I'm really glad y'all went for ✨dysfunction✨.  I really want to do an Agony Algernon column where he just gives the worst possible advice to people. "Sure you should show up at his family's brunch unannounced, guys love that"

When we started out we were doing some of the scenes fully voiced but we realised reeeeeal fast that it was impossible to voice the whole thing and had to become more mindful of what was getting voiced vs not. 

The Voice Actors all did a tremendous job and Kylie worked double-time editing/cutting/balancing all the VO and we're so glad you liked it and wanted more! 🦆❤️

Silly and goofy fun is all we've ever wanted it to be ❤️❤️ Thank you so much for playing, hopefully we'll get the second milestone out soon enough 🦆

LILAAAAA HEY! YOU PLAYED ITTT! The voice actors did a phenomenal job and the recording sessions were so, so fun ❤️ The artists worked really hard and Erin naiiiled the backgrounds, so I'll pass on the message - I'm sure they'll be thrilled. Oh, absolutely not, we're all half in love with Fern ourselves. They're the real MVP. Love you more, it's getting worked on so hopefully we'll wrangle ourselves a full game soon enough 🎉

Omg this game is so insanely engaging and has so much personality! The minigames are so much fun, the story sucks you in, the GUI/sprites and all the little streaming animations are overwhelmingly delightful. I want to kick Khan in the shin and give Pilla a damned hug, she's so incredibly sweet and bubbly and deserves all the best in the world.

I love the Vinako/Pilla dynamic too, after all the stress it was nice to sort of... relax for a second and breathe. Even if it was equally stressful because of the breathing minigame 😂

As a final note, I have to say the backgrounds are absolutely phenomenal especially the forest/cave ones. Idk why but they're just... so pretty. I really enjoyed playing it ❤️

AND WE LOVE YOU FOR ITTT, omg thanks so much ❤️ I really appreciate this, it's so cool to know people are playing it and enjoying it! Also hell yes a Viriam fan, erm, I mean I have no favourites and love them all the same 😂   I'm glad you love him! Xander/Jett did an incredible job bringing Cloriam to life and all that saltiness really is incredibly fun to write. I cried okay. I cried like a baby and I enjoyed it. 😭💖 The cozy vibes are unmatched. The whole thing is super cohesive, down to the GUI/music/VA. Max did an incredible job voicing this, the sprite is, to put it mildly, hot af. 

I fell in love with Van a million times over. If there were more of it, I'd go and fall in love with him some more, whatever version of him crops up next.

Honestly after otomejam, this was just what my squished little heart needed. I feel rested and renewed and ready to take over the world all over again!

I'm glad you liked the hidden object mechanic, it didn't come into play too much in the demo but we wanted to get it in so that players who downloaded the demo could keep their saves when we patch in the rest. 💛

Your timing is ✨impeccable✨ - I was just going to post a devlog today.

It's definitely not abandoned, it's just so much longer than I initially thought it would be. Like so much. Or rather it's not that it's longer, it's more that it'll take longer...? Turns out (to no one's surprise but yours truly) that the Jam Life is completely unsustainable long term. That meant adjusting and doing things at a healthier but slower pace.

I'm currently tinkering with different ways of actually releasing the game so that it's not just when ALL the routes and all the things are done, otherwise it'll be a while. Though let's be honest, even if I do split it into bits/chapters/routes, it's STILL going to be a while. I'm also going to try to give out more frequent updates, just with the purpose of 'still here, haven't expired yet'.

I know I didn't reply to your previous comment and I'm really sorry for that. I promise it wasn't rude or anything, quite the opposite - I just have a bad habit of procrastinating replies and disappearing off the face of the earth when I'm feeling overwhelmed.
