- The sprites popping when they speak is an additional cue that someone is talking - without it, everything looks a bit static, especially since we don't have extra poses. It was a conscious design decision and we're sticking with it for the time being though if we ever get voice acting it will no longer be necessary.

- Oh god yes, it absolutely is the longest sentence in the whole story. I'm trimming it down!

- Yes. The answer is absolutely yes. 🥳  For otome jam I was a little overwhelmed and didn't get to it, but in the future everyone is going to get very blushy it's going to be a delight.

Okay I'm still not done with this BUT. 

1. Which character was your favorite? Why?

I was pretty sure it was physically impossible for me to thirst for anyone as much as I was thirsting for Theo. And then I met Luca and fml. In my mind Theo was pretty direct - he was the "idk what you're playing at" guy but there was a surprising amount of miscommunication and what felt like rejection in a way...? 

(More on that below, but it hit a personal trigger basically.) 

This just goes to show how effed up society is that when a man says 'no' it's immediately about you doing something wrong and not because idk, he has boundaries and issues and a rich inner life that isn't led in the wake of his dick.  

Did you manage to make all the guys on the main screen regain their colour?

No, but that's because the level of second-hand embarrassment during my first interaction with Tristan was really high. It's kind of sad because my entire life is nerdy boys and I married... basically Tristan irl. 

My only issue is that I'd have to go through that scene again and my frail sense of self can't take that. First impressions count and his was... oof.

What's your favorite moment in the game?

Okay so you gotta understand I'm basically playing all the otome jam games ✨for research✨ and I play them with my husband sitting right next to me. And while the boys were great, I think the best part of it was right at the beginning when I was reading out the intro and my husband was sitting next to me just occasionally sniggering because it was funny and just both of us playing the game together. 

A lot of things just opened up a dialogue, about games we've played (I found out he played genshin impact for example) about how the server maintenance weird translation messages were so relatable. 

In the end, we just were talking about how the more minute details were so realistic. The whole call with HR was a really clever way of going about this, it set the tone of the story, it made us laugh. 

As for the boys. I mean, struggling with what you want to do, with chasing dreams you've put on the backburner, talking about boundaries and having rational, mature and empathetic conversations. There were so many moments throughout this where I felt like I'd lived this before in my own relationship - I think that's maybe why Theo's route hit me a bit wrong, because it was less fantasy and more reality if you know what I mean?

Do you want a Mark route?

On the one hand no. On the other hand no as well, really. Like he's a shit person and I want to be as far away from him as humanly possible.

But. There's a part of me that's curious to see what you'd do with him. I'm not an asshole apologist but some of my best friends are reformed assholes and all it took were a few serious conversations about boundaries and a lot of... idk. Empathy. Getting them to feel comfortable in their own skin so they weren't busy posturing all the time.  

Like I can see it being a good character arc, but at the same time the "I can fix him" mentality is really dangerous and I'm scared it'll do more harm than good. 

So far, you've done a lot of good though, so I trust you know best.

Would you replay the game if it were fully voiced?

Probably not. Or at least that wouldn't be the reason to come back to it. I can see myself coming back to it in the future but not specifically because of the voice acting.

Yo, so I gushed over this enough on discord that you know I'm a massive fan.

Of ALL OF THEM.

Okay so started with Yuto and I'm happy to say he's still my favourite husbando. Rye is my precious baby and Sol's a precious ninny but yes, grumpo is my baby. All of them healthy and wholesome af!!!

The mini-games were absolutely delicious (I'm super impressed from a development standpoint) and I'm in awe that you managed to achieve so much in so little time. The GUI, the sprites, the music, the backgrounds - oh the backgrounds, my dude, the backgrounds are perfection and I want them to come decorate my home??? - the story, all of it felt deliciously warm and happy and just.... perfection. 

Character designs super unique, legit want to borrow clothes from them because they're so stylish and urgh that jackeetttt. 

Anyway, it's the kind of game that skips the queue straight into to your heart without passing go and nestles in there forever. Just. Sucker just made itself comfortable with a cosy sweater and a cup of tea 'cause it knows it's there to stay.

BRIAR tho. Like. How dare you keep him from us, when he's such a selfish asswipe. Everything in me is yelling "no, but he's a douchewag, please let me have him, I'll fix him" which honestly makes me real pleased you kept him from me.

- I'm glad you loved the side characters! Adding extra characters always has a very concrete cost in VNs in terms of sprite work, but now I'm glad it was worth it 😊

- All I have ever wanted Isabelle to read as.

- I filtered the entire demo through Grammarly and most of the typos and missing / extra / misspelt words should be fixed now. V 1.2 is out already and you're officially part of the devlog 😂 Thanks so much for pointing them out and helping us make a better game!

- I've been chewing over how to write the Common Route and that's honestly where I think it should lead. I'm not sure if we'll have enough time in SuNoFes to do everything we want with it, but we will certainly do our best!

Okay, so I just spent the last few hours spewing my adoration all over discord AND twitter so you probably know where this is going BUT.

I LOVE THEM OKAY.

BOTH OF THEM.

After Aramis I felt like I was cheating on my One True Husband but now they BOTH are my One True Husband and honestly I just want an end where I keep 'em both and we become a really healthy throuple.

From a dev standpoint, I'm completely blown away by all you've done in so little time as well. Both routes are really polished, the writing is SUPERB, the MC is relatable and hilarious, art is brilliant, so is the GUI... can't fault it.

"Must. Fill. Silence."

Describes my entire personality and honestly I feel simultaneously seen and honestly so attacked rn.

Also the sprites for both boys (in this case I will say aramis wins just because omfg, have you seen that side-eye?) are amazing and I spent most of the game feeling like I really needed a cold shower. 

Oh. Right. The VA almost gave me several heart attacks, especially in steamier situations. 

ANYWAY. Lived it, loved it, wish there was more ❤️😊

Isabelle's ego has been appropriately puffed up by the fact that there's yet another person who wants her hand in marriage. 😂  I'm glad you loved her - she's so entertaining to write - and we'll see you again in two months!
