Hey, it's only demo.. I am interested in combat reviews to know if it's even good idea to make the game look better and not waste a time if it's boring.. but thank you anyway.. If I decide to continue on this project I'll try to make it look better.

Thanks! Glad you like the art style.

The current demo uses music that is not specifically composed for Forsaken by Valhalla, so I’d definitely be interested in hearing what you might come up with.

I’m still very early in development, though, so before we go too far I’d just want to be clear about usage rights and whether the tracks could be used commercially if the game eventually releases.

Feel free to send me an example or an idea for the kind of track you think would fit the game. :)

[Browser Demo] Forsaken by Valhalla – a dark turn-based Viking roguelite

Hi everyone!

I've just released the first playable demo of Forsaken by Valhalla, a dark turn-based roguelite about fallen Viking warriors who have been denied Valhalla.

Fight your way through a short dungeon using positional combat, unique hero abilities and tactical turn-based encounters. The current demo is still an early look at the game, so it's fairly short, but the core combat and dungeon gameplay are playable directly in your browser.

I'm especially interested in feedback on the combat:

  • Does it feel intuitive?
  • Are the abilities interesting to use?
  • Would you want to play more after finishing the demo?

Any feedback is very welcome. I'm still actively developing the game, so this is a great time to tell me what works — and what doesn't. :)
