Hi everyone,

I just published an early browser-playable prototype for my first game, After Midnight Online, and I’d love to get some outside feedback.

After Midnight Online is a short fake-desktop mystery where you explore an old computer interface, answer messages, browse an archived community website, recover files, and follow the first thread of a larger mystery.

The prototype is currently about 5-15 minutes long, depending on how much you poke around.

It is focused on atmosphere, puzzle readability, and whether the first story hook works.

I’m especially interested in:

  1.  Where did you get stuck, if anywhere?
  2. Did the fake desktop interface feel natural enough to use?
  3. Did the mystery make you want to know more?
  4. Was anything too obvious or too confusing?

Content note: light horror, unsettling messages, references to death, supernatural themes.

Best played on desktop or laptop with a mouse and keyboard.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.

This is my first game, so thoughtful feedback would be genuinely helpful.
