Recently released version 0.2.0 of my game Brain Dead Warfare. It's a 2D shooter with customizable loadout, in the loadout there is right now 4 perks to choose between, 5 weapons, 4 camos on every gun and 3 characters. An easy game to spend time on because there is alot to unlock by playing.

Well yeah I were going to, had alot of new fun stuff coming but after my external harddrive gave up I lost all my stuff so right now i'm doing some 2D stuff instead. Working on a 2D zombie game and will upload it here on itch soon. So stay tuned for some entertaining games!

Alpha Version 0.51

Update information:
In this update i've focused on improving the spawn system for zombies.

Content added:

Bugs fixed:
• Not being able to shot while jumping has been fixed

Improvements:
• You can now create your own username
• Visible stamina bar
• Increased sprint speed with 10%
• Increased jump height with 25%
• It's now possible to see how long you've played by pressing 'escape' while in game (not the menu)
• Weapons now gains an extra 5XP on every kill the gun gets
• Zombies spawn out of reach for player and changes between two locations every other swarm
• Overall visual improvements
• Zombies can now jump

• Save and load functions
• New map [Yukaya Deserts] (Will be released on alpha version 0.6)

Alpha Version 0.5

Update information: On this update the most focus has been on making the game more challenging and fun. The player will now face zombie swarms that gets bigger and more difficult to face the more swarms the player survive. The visuals has also been a focus in this update to give the player the best experience that's possible. Whilst facing swarms the player also needs to defend an object, if the zombies destroys the object it's game over. To make it easier to face big swarms it's now possible to find packages that contains auto-turrets that the player can build near the defend object.

Content added:

• Three new player perks added (Awareness, Medic and Engineer)
• Auto-Turrets
• Weapon skins
• New weapon (Shotgun) [S-12] with attachments
• Loading screen
• Mobility stat for guns in the gunsmith
• New zombie

Bugs fixed:

• Weapons not leveling up when they should has been fixed
• Blood not displaying on screen when damaged has been fixed
• Zoom speed not being affected when switching between different sight attachments has been fixed

Improvements:

• Better looking UI in inventory and when leveling up
• New smooth inventory
• Animations when switching weapons
• Weapon XP gains when hitting zombies with bullets instead of killing them
• UI text for how much xp the weapons are gaining
• Zombies is now attacking a target that the player needs to defend, if the target gets destroyed the player lose
• Zombies comes in swarms now instead of random spawning, survive as many swarms as you can
• For every swarm you survive the more zombies spawn
• Zombies rotates more natural
• Attack animation on zombies implemented
• Improved running animation on zombies
• Skull pops up at zombies death location when they're killed
• When guns, perks or attachments gets unlocked it pops up in the UI
• It's now visible to see if player perks are unlocked or locked in the gunsmith
• Crosshair turns red when zombies are in your shooting line and in range
• It's now possible to see your health without opening your inventory
• New scope view for LS24 2x Scope
• Player level is visible in the top right corner when in menu
• New background music system that gives the player a more intense feel when playing
• It's now visible what version of the game you're playing in the bottom left corner of the menu window

I’ve released the latest version of my game zwarm. This version includes five weapons with customization options and there is also three player perks that you could choose from.

Alpha Version 0.4

Content added:
• Player Customization tab in the Gunsmith
• Player perks
• Strong Lungs perk (Doubles the sprint time)
• Heavy Duty perk (Gives player 50% more health)
• Loaded perk (Carry one more weapon)

Bugs fixed:
• Issue when after switching gun you couldn't refill ammo anymore has been fixed

Improvements:
• Refill ammo button has been removed in the gunsmith so now pressing 'Q' when near the gunsmith will fill the holding guns ammo instead
• Player has now stamina and can now only run a limited time
• All files has once again been improved so the game file takes less space on the harddrive

Alpha Version 0.2

• Knife model with attack animation

• Fixed a bug when using the sniper scope it wouldn't zoom properly
• Screen is now locked to the user resolution

• Debugger window has been removed
• Shop renamed to Gunsmith
• You can now exit the Gunsmith with the escape button
• Audio for weapon M9 and menu ambience has been decreased
• The map Valley has been slightly improved

That’s really nice, like to hear that! Yeah I have changed some other bugs too but I have sold my main pc so I can’t work on the game right now but when I get a new one we can chat on discord! I use Godot Engine, not the best for 3D but it’s free and I like it. 

Thanks for your suggestions! The screen positioning problem could be because that I forgot to lock the screen size to the current screen that’s playing, because if you look up my youtube channel the screen positioning is good. But I have corrected that now. Yeah the zombie animation ain’t the best but it’s very basic because i’ve only worked on the game for a month. Screen tearing is a big problem, doesn’t matter what I do it’s there, don’t know if it’s the engines fault. Well it opens like a debugger because it’s easier for you people to report bugs but I can remove that if you want.


Just released my first version of my FPS zombie game Zwarm created in Godot Engine. I have a development blog on my page so the community can report improvements. Will have this game updated so stay tuned for newer versions.
