Apologies for deleting the previous reply; I realized a bit late that this flickering issue still persists in some capacity - fill bars seem to flicker in opacity for 1-2 frames. This issue is viewable in the demo. If you interact with EV030 and take player damage, then enter/exit the menu scene, the Actor Hud green bar shows its max fill before setting to the proper value.

Hi, thank you for this resource.

I'd like to ask about gauge sprite display when moving in and out of the Menu scene in RPG Maker MZ. In the demo, after exiting the menu, on the upper left corner, you can view the variable gauge graphics initializing themselves. They move to their proper locations after a few frames, each bar taking a frame each to initialize, then move to their location.

Is there a way to avoid this from happening? My concern is that this may unintentionally cause issues towards players with eye sensitivities, as it is flashing imagery.

EDIT: The bars also seem to vanish entirely if initialized with a script call, as opposed to a comment.

It seems to work smoothly on my end. Thank you very much for your time and for providing this code snippet!

Hello, thank you for this resource.

I'd like to know if there's a way to get the assigned input as a string based on its keyname? Example: "getinput(keyname1)" leads to a string output of "C", if the player assigned keyname 1 to be "C".

As this message of you asking about a plugin error has no replies, I wanted to let you know this just in case; the author of this plugin (chaucer) passed away. The earliest source I can find for his passing is February of this year.

haha it's nice to find other RTVS viewers! 😄

I really appreciate that! Thank you for the kind words 😊

Hello! Thank you for the kind words!

The warning is likely related to the lack of code signing for my program/executable, which means that the "program publisher" property of this software is left unspecified ("Unknown publisher"). Even when trying to download Sushi's ZIP file on my end, I get the download blocked.

Getting a code signing certificate (a license which would require frequent renewal) is unfortunately very expensive. This issue really frustrates me, as I understand the anxiety that can come from those warnings, and don't want to stress anyone out. But for now, there is nothing I can do to fix this.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience there!

I appreciate it! Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words! I hope this program can be useful to you 😊

Thank you!

I appreciate the very kind words! Thank you 😊

Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Thank you so much! 😊

Hello! Regarding this rule: "Your game must be made in an RPG Maker engine (2000, 2003, XP, VX, VX Ace, MV, MZ)." Does this game jam require game developers to use the RPG Maker battle system (respective to any of the game engines above) for their project? Thank you!

Hello. I would like to ask for a clarification: "All three placed winners will have their game hosted on both the RPGMakerWeb website, as well as Steam, for the world to see".  Is this account a pre-existing one, or would it be a account specifically for this jam? Thank you for your time.

Hello, thank you for this extension. I seem to be running into some minor errors. (I am using Windows 10, and GMS 2.3.)

When right clicking on the game, it'll display the name as window_frame_host.exe, with its associated icon. Clicking the icon will show the empty black window: "this is a helper program for window_frame.dll". I've also inconsistently found that trying to close the game project on its own will leave the window frame onscreen. It's hard to recreate this bug, though. Thanks for your time.

glad you like my art :) (and if you were being serious about that request, feel free to e-mail me and we can work something out-.)

And ah, interesting. Think it was a good decision to work with a monster figure than a zombie honestly, heh- regardless, congrats on making a game for a game jam! I hope this game and your team get more support in the future-.

Did you take inspiration off of the LD 34 game LadyBug by any chance? I can't help but feel like this game is too similar for it to be a coincidence :P interesting visual style choice though, kinda reminds me of The Final Station.
