And yea, it's a great feeling indeed.

I'd suggest a mac and linux build.

Tho, i can use wine but i guess it would be more convenient to have a official linux build.

Thanks for replying and the positive comments!

The song composers are still working on the songs. The next Devlog will be a new song introduction so, stay tuned!

Its a fun game.

I would suggest adding some sort of sound visualiser for those who can't play with sound(My tuition PC has no speakers)

I really like that there is an option to change scroll speed, I think ill add that to my game too! :D

There should also be a show of what BPM the song is played at. Nothing needed, just a small detail. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed my work. Thanks for commenting! :D

Thx for the positive feedback! Glad you enjoyed my work!

Thx! :D

Overall a very addictive and hardcore game!

As for feedback, Id say :-

  • Firstly, I'd suggest moving the player, water can, plants and everything else thats above the GUI, to be behind the GUI.
  • Secondly, I'd suggest making the game over less sudden. The game ended pretty much immediately and I needed some time to figure out what happened. So, I'd suggest something like a death animation or something.
  • Thirdly, I'd suggest lowering the speed at which the orders come, I believe it was way too fast.
  • Lastly, I'd suggest reloading the scene instead of just showing the game over screen and start button.

And, for the stuff I like :-

  • Firstly, the music is amazing!
  • Secondly, the idea of growth is well executed! 5/5!
  • Lastly, the game is quite addicting. Good job!

Was really fun! Couldn't get past Level 4! XD

  • Anyways, for feedback, I'd suggest making so that you can't go back. It was very frustrating when you would accidentaly go to the previous level and would have to do it all again.
  • Secondly, I would suggest a Go To Menu Screen. Sometimes, you just want to go back to the menu but there was no button that would do that.
  • Thirdly, I'd suggest doing something about the focus box. I'd suggest making the focus_style having an increased expand margin.
  • Fourthly, I'd suggest improving the game page with colors and stuff. It would improve visual representation and is an important part of game development.
  • Lastly, I'd suggest a walkthrough video so that those stuck on a level can watch it. Its quite common for games like this.

Thanks for replying!

The reason the fail state is like this is to replicate what is done in the hypercasual genre where a mistake would lead to a loss.

But getting to, idk, 100 floors is actually a big feat, considering that is near the height of Burj Khalifa so, i think its pretty in-line with real-world buildings.

Thanks! You can go full screen to fix the screen problem.

I'll look into improving the visual clarity so that its easier to understand the goal. 😅

Thanks! You can go full screen mode to fix that problem. I'll look for a solution asap :)

Nice! I could never get past 50 though XD

  • For the first one, I'll see how to make it so that it shows that the button must be pressed before the ring hits the middle.
  • For the second one, as I've stated earlier, i'll see what I can do after the jam :)

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks!

I'll see what I can do :)

Thanks for rating!

I think i would have to do something about that speed, thanks for mentioning! :D

Aah, i guess i forgot to mention that XD, my bad, the hotkeys are Q, W, E, R.

Hmm, can you try redownloading it?

As you can see though, it went to 26 floors for me.

Well, you must hit the color before the ring goes behind the color ball. The game is endless so I don't see why it ended there, ill look into it :)

This game is awesome! You should really work more on this!

no problem :D

This is awesome! Really gonna use it for my future games! Keep up the great work!

1) If you get more than 10 ratings, only then will your game be considered good enough. This is done to avoid those from winning who got 5/5 from 1 rating by themselves.

2) You have complete ownership of your game. You can even sell it.

I used Unity for this, but ive since then given up on the engine.

This is Awesome!

dude, no offense, but thats the past now.

Nice!

Ill do my best! :)

Thx! Ya i kinda added that as a suprise thing but i guess i got too carried away ':)

Hey! So, i played your game and found some design errors that could be fixed after the jam :)

Firstly, I believe you should think of slowing down the pace of difficulty. Cuz, in a way, you take the player from learning how to jump, to learning how to do the advanced level "SwordBounce from Hollow Knight" technique which i believe is a little too hard. (I'd suggest moving jump to Z and Attack to X)

Secondly, It would be really helpful to see what is happening in front. I made this mistake in Brackeys Jam 2020.1. Try just moving the camera furthur towards where the player is looking at.

Other than that, I believe the game to be pretty well-made. The water mechanic is quite innovative and the visuals are awesome. Keep it up!

I see... thanks for your constructive critisism as well as helping me know that you enjoyed my creation :)

Thx :D

Ill look into it!

Thx for the advice :D
