it happened all times I played (2 or 3 times), it could be a an in world exploitation - the witch is continuing being lazy and not wanting to do the work. But if you care enough about saving the kitty and are willing to get your hands "dirty" you can get the information and surpass her.
A real witch has a lot of forbidden knowledge after al,l and she uses it  responsibly... for her own will....

i did run into having gotten to the witch's order in 2 separate  games and the spell she asked for wasn't in the book - am i supposed to memorize them? cus i did the right choice and broke 4th wall to save that kitty and i have no regrets

amazing game! music, thumbnail, visuals, humor, game-play! 

2 small things - I was playing blind as i was stupid and didnt find the book , this one is on me. just made finding the book so so satisfying. the second is goat skin has no primary flesh qualities?? it IS flesh a goat's.
