Alright mate, turns out it was on me!! I should've read the 'the interact button is that key' note on your page... Anyway, I played the game this time, died 1-2 times before completing it, that fight mechanic was a bit tough. Eventually figured it out and finished the game, but the masked guy told me -unsatisfactory-, so I thought 'hmm, maybe if I heal the zombies that can be healed, would I get a different ending?' and played through again, this time trying to use the healing mechanic too, but I got the same ending again, no idea why :P
Anyway, I think the game is really cute and nice, especially graphics-wise. Just, maybe some parts could be improved. For example, the hit feedback could be better, right now it kind of looks like the character is just waving :P. Other than that, the death feedback could also be better, maybe a fade-to-black screen or something, but right now it feels like the game just abruptly closes. Those are my thoughts!
By the way, if you have time, would you mind checking out my game too? Thanks! :>
The game concept is nice! But I think the game could be enriched a bit more. For example, while waiting for the boss, the gameplay starts to feel repetitive. Maybe adding things like attack speed upgrades, damage boosts, or various abilities in between could help with that. Also, some visual improvements could go a long way. For instance, instead of a flat black background, a gradient could work nicely, or the orbs dropped by the slimes could have a small glow/floating animation.
Hey! I wanted to try the game, and the visual style/atmosphere caught my interest, but I'm not sure if it's just me, but I honestly didn't understand what I was supposed to do?
The game started on the first day, and I walked around the neighborhood, saw people selling stuff, there were neighbors too, and then I saw that guy saying something like "sell neighbor flesh". I thought maybe it was some psycho-themed game and we were supposed to attack the neighbors, so I tried hitting them but idk that didn't work either. So I walked back and forth around the map, but honestly I couldn't figure out what to do.
So, how do I play?
Oh, solid game! Honestly, I found the gameplay pretty satisfying. Moving around, shooting, enemy movement, etc. all felt smooth. Also, the gameplay logic reminded me of Enter the Gungeon, and I really like that style. Not sure if it's just me, but sometimes I couldn't tell where to go — maybe adding a minimap or something similar could help with that. Other than that, when a lot of health pickups drop and you grab them quickly, it seems to trigger a really loud health pickup sound.
Great game! Keep it up!
Not bad! I think the core gameplay is fun. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the level design could be a bit better. Also, I think the enemy AI could be better. Sometimes after the alarm goes off, I just run circles around them and they stare into space for like 3-4 seconds, lol. Still, nice game!
Hey! Thanks for the support, I'm glad you enjoyed it
I actually tried to add a web version. But since I am new to developing games and also never tried to do web things, some bugs occured, like font not showing some characters. So I only kept windows version
I might consider a web version in the future.
Hey, I really liked the mechanic of the game! It took me a while to understand Level 4, but I couldn't figure out Level 5 at all. I didn't quite understand the "bottom - top and left - right" logic. After the last "right", does it loop back and expect us to choose "bottom" again? I tried for a while, but I couldn't beat that level.
Interesting idea. I liked the concept of balancing boss patience and player health. However I think the upgrades could have had more impact, and after a few minutes I didn't have much else to do. The countdown mechanic (boss patience and player health bars going down) was a cool idea, but I didn't really feel the pressure from it. Nice work though!
Cool work! I liked having three different objectives, it added a nice variety. While the second objective was clear, it took me a while to figure out the first one, and moving the astronouts felt a bit difficult. As for the final objective... I think it was quite challenging for a 60 sec time limit :>. The visuals look nice by the way.
