I might have an idea of what is happening here... 🤔
Thank you for your help!

Loved the game! Some personal feedbacks and considerations:
- The initial upgrades curve is a bit steep I think: maybe after a couple of throws I should be able to upgrade the hook (or maybe it's just skill issues 😂)
- It would be cool to be able to control the speed of the hook with up and down
- When you bring up the hook, I think it would be really rewarding to have a "Katamary" effect, where, the more fish you're catching, the bigger the collision area and you catch even more fishes!
- ***SPOILER***: is cool that there is a final treasure, but by the time you reach it the hook is very much upgraded, so a $1000 rewards I don't think changes that much 😂 I understand that for the jam it's fine like this (and I enjoyed the presence of this final goal!) but it would be cool to reward in a different way the player, maybe unlocking a new ability or a deeper level!
Also, regarding the treasure, maybe it could be interesting to have a change in mechanics when you catch it, and while you are bringing it up, you have to AVOID all the fished, otherwise you drop it! Not sure if it could work (maybe a change in core mechanics could confuse the player) but it could be interesting to try! The same logic could apply to different fishes (maybe some bigger fishes have a "resistence" when you try to catch them and pulls the rope, or maybe they eat the smaller fishes that you catch with them!)

In general I found the game very polishing, entertaining and fun, good job!

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah definitely took inspiration from Castle Crashers here 😂 Dan Paladin in my main source of inspiration for game assets 😁

Thank you for your feedback! The main focus for this jam was the art, so I'm happy with the results :)

How did you managed to get all of those playable characters? 😂 Did you get them from the start or after a retry or something else? On which browser did you played the game?

Thank you my friend :D
Yeah totally agree about the game name 😂

Thank you for your kind feedback! Can I ask how you managed to get two playable characters? This is clearly unintended 😂 On which browser did you played and at what point of the game did you got two playable characters? Right from the start or after a retry or maybe something else?

I couldn't help but try a submission that had the same name as mine 😂
Very smart concept and gameplay, good job!

It seems like I'm on top of the current leaderboard :D What did I won? 😁

Yup we realized that maybe the game description is a bit misleading. The game goal is to exit the cave and following the fireflies and the lights guides you through the "hidden path" that leads to the exit

Thank you for the feedback! Good point on the level length and enemy suggestion :)

Thank you for the feedback! :D The level designer tends to get a little carried away ahah

Who talked about an invisible route 😂

It's special because we did it ❤️

Hey, I took a look at your YouTube channel and I would love to collab! We are planning to do a 2D game and the focus for this jam will be to learn Flash (I know it's a bit outdated but I always wanted to learn it for animations 😂). If this sounds fun, ping me on Discord! My nick is _luxel_

Thank you, glad you enjoyed! :D

I never thought to feature in a Youtube video :O thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Especially being the video cover 😍

Glad you enjoyed it!

Making something like this in a week sounds unbelievable to me :O the biggest part was to draw and animate almost everything; I tried to keep the rest as simple as possible. Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for your feedback!

You can't :D

No way, this is SO fun ahahah

I'm gonna be honest with you, at first I was wondering "How did this game win the LD48? What's so special about it?"... How naïve I was... Now I know! Ahahahah

The first 4-5 minutes of gameplay are quite standard... Groups of blocks fall from the sky and you just have to stack them correctly to score points, nothing fancy here... But then, the game takes a complete twist! It just kept me glued to the screen throughout the entire game!! I really wanted to know what was hidden at the bottom! :D

Really, really good job for 3 days of work, you deserve all the awards 👏👏👏

Thank you a lot for your amazing feedback and glad you enjoyed the game! It really matters a lot to us :D

Great soundtrack! Can I ask you which DAW did you use? Any particular vst?

Also, is there a way to listen the full song, maybe on yt or soundcloud?

Thank you :D
