Thankyou?
It is pretty short, but also- curious if you managed to find all the endings, or leave the room.
But ye, that's exactly what I was going for ^.^
Love the idea! Super unique, and executed really well!
Managed to beat the final level and am super proud of that! While most of the game was very casual, the last puzzle was a really good challenge.
My only criticism is that the games framerate felt really low. Idk if that's just cuz my wifi and it's played through the browser, or what, but it didn't hurt the game any
Love the art, some of the characters little expressions are so damn cute! 10/10 would play again
As I explain in the description I'm not sure this version of the game is completable and it's missing some really foundational early game stuff due to a single tiny unforseen bug that came out of nowhere when it was pretty much already too late.
However, I've uploaded another version that should be fine (I hope). I won't be updating it until after the jam is over to try to preserve that integrity. I hope you'll give both a try (but mostly the one with the tiny fix, and I hope you'll still find favor with my official submission, but if not I understand.)
Here's a link to that version btw, it's in the description as well : https://lukelcs.itch.io/my-room-working-version

I need to remember that every time I'm THIS CLOSE to meeting a deadline as literal seconds tick by, fate will always make it physically impossible for me to succeed.
The deadline is the day before you idiot! Not the day of! (talking to future me who will forget this obvs)
I'm on 1.6.1 and here are the versions for both of your plugins.
Still doesn't seem to do anything, here is the setting in the plugin menu, there is nothing on the controller side of things.
One good thing though is at the moment I'm using an event that checks to see if X key is pressed, and I've also disabled the menu, and that's working just fine, so I have a solution for now. :)
At the moment, no, they still don't.
I'm wondering if maybe it's a problem with the version I'm using. I left this question to a mod on the forums on a thread about updating, I can just copy paste it here.
Regardless I'm downloading the latest version from the official forum thread and hopefully it will do something. If not I have no idea yet lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
edit : I updated and it seemingly did nothing so I don't know
"I am on 1.6.1
After downloading someone elses game, there is a little error pop up whenever I launch the game (it's just a separate little window it doesn't hurt anything). I asked the developer about it, and they said it only does that for older versions.
I've also just now been having problems with a new plugin, and I'm wondering if maybe it's an issue with the version too.
Thing is, I downloaded RPG Maker again just this year, and all of the posts relating to new versions are talking about 2018??
Needless to say I'm really confused. What is the latest version, and is there any way I don't already have it?"
Hey, I'm trying to use the MV version and it's not working. It's pratcically a blank project with little to no plugins.
Ideally, I'd really like to have items set to X, but I tried C since I wondered if the overwrite function wasn't working.
Here's some screenshots, this should work fine, but for some reason it doesn't seem to do anything. I downloaded the plugin today. 4/22
edit : My version of Elis book is old though, I'll try redownloading that and also try a blank project.
edit : I tried that, and even downloading the two most recent versions of both in a blank project it doesn't do anything.
You can use them if you want.
Any version of RPG Maker made and released by the RPG Maker company that can export a downloadable windows game will do.
Eg: 2K, 2K3, XP, VX, VXace, MV, MZ.
I think that's all of them, but if anyone has any questions on whether "this RPG Maker" can be used in the jam, I'll be sure to answer.
However, you can only use RTP from the RPG Maker you're using.
So, like, if there are files in say, the 2k RTP that aren't in the 2K3 RTP, you couldn't use them, but if, let's say there are files that come packaged with both version of RPG Maker, you can.
Basically, imagine that the version of RPG Maker you're using for the project is the only one you own the license to.
Also, good choice, 2K3 has a really nice charm, and I really like the music, glad few of the songs got remastered for MV, but not nearly as many as deserve it. It's got a good library though, can't be all classic tunes(also, I'm referring to the base resource seperate download, not what comes when you load up the engine. I might allow free DLC's, but only ones that come packaged with the engine, such as the Base Resource)
